The only way I see this working is if chelsea is interested in someone like de vrij or lautaro like recent links suggest. Getting him without counterparts, like a solo deal imo is impossible.
It is very realistic, if Lukaku will refuse all the clubs for Inter, Chelsea will have no choice but to loan him to us.
Of course, we are not interested in buying Lukaku

Other than Lukaku, we do still desperately need some pace up top. Leao has got one fucking move (step over then push the ball to the outside down the line) and he tears defences apart with such ease because he's quick. Fuck it, it still worked for Perisic at 33.

Don't have one.

I do believe we are his first choice, but I also think he is so desperate to leave chelsea and premier league that he could choose bayern just as easily.

This is the first realisric rumour i read about Lukaku. If i recall correctly Lukaku weighs 18m in Chelsea's budget for 2022/23. A free loan was never an option Chelsea would consider. That being said, it would be fucking idiotic for Inter to take that deal. Both Chelsea and Lukaku are on their knees. We need to take advantage of that. It should either be free loan with option to buy with Lukaku taking 50% paycut or no deal.

Bayern actually makes sense since Lewa is forcing a move away. Lukaku can dominate in Germany because well, it’s Bayern and they dominate everyone there. They are in for a rude awakening in CL though being used to Lewa.

Lukaku seems like a no brainer for Bayern when you compare him with the other forwards they are linked with. Haller, Werner, Kalajdzic. Lukaku is an upgrade over all of them. On the sporting side, Lukaku at Bayern may seem like a guaranteed success for obvious reasons (Bayern dominance, more open spaces, best top league for forwards to flourish) but i am not expecting there a similar success with his time at Inter. Pace in Bundesliga isn't as slow as in Serie A, Bayern game is mostly focused on their wingers and Muller and they won't adjust it around Lukaku while i also don't think Lukaku and Muller would work well together. But that's an issue for Bayern to consider. :D

I can see Bayern offering a James type of deal to Chelsea for Lukaku. High loan fee with option to buy while Lukaku taking a paycut. Unless he looks like world class there they won't redeem him but they will manage to win time to plan for post Lewandowski. Bayern like doing that stuff.

I would rather like us to sign Duvan than Lukaku. Lukaku had his time here and decided to depart on his own. Getting him back now does not make sense, especially with his enormous wage (despite his willingness to decrease) and loan/obligation fees. The boat has sailed for Lukaku at Inter I think.

Zapata had two serious injuries last season. Do we really want another Correa?

I don't really understand the Lukaku links to us. If we have secured Dybala and want to keep Lautaro then what's the point of having someone like Lukaku? All 3 of them want to be starter and we play with only two upfront.

I don't really like the Lukaku rumors. Hope it dies off soon.

I don't want Zapata anywhere near the club.

On the other hand; Inzaghi was rotating a lot between Dzeko, Lautaro and Correa. Subbing them a lot too. In an ideal world we could rotate Lukaku, Lautaro and Dybala. In a more realistic world, given our financial trouble, Lukaku means no Dybala or a departure of Lautaro. In that case i would pass on Romelu.

Lukaku is financially inaccessible to us unless he and Chelsea take huge cuts. Let's put it out of mind for now. For the burden, too, I'm not sure he would perform. I'd be worried he does similar to what he did this year at Chelsea and suddenly we've taken on another non performing financial liability

theres no practical way we sign lukaku. with our financial situation, you'd be looking at both Bastoni and Lautaro out to sign him on that sort of cost.

Like I said, if Chelsea are willing to take the hit, great, but if not...

Loan with obligation is what Chelsea want. No chance we would commit to a purchase. It would basically undo the great purchase we made last summer. I would be shocked if we are interested in anything more than a loan deal. Either a dry loan or a loan with option.

exactly, we arent basically gonna go to loaning them lukaku for 1 year for 20m. Makes no sense. A loan with obligation for, say, 50m, we could start to talk but even that id be against.

I think the figure of 20 million is for two years, not one.
