If we have turned into a selling club
You would have thought we would have paid more emphasis on our youth academy.

I understand if we are not making money off the pitch than scarifices are required, but you would have thought some investment in our youth development would have been made also?

We did invest a lot into the youth developpement since suning came.. Upgraded the facilities and got a bunch of highly rated 16 year olds it s just that it usually does not work out that easy in real life..

I was actually thinking of rr phrasing my last posts , (as I don't have Inzaghi or other management on speed dial 🤣) I can't not claim that little to 0 investment was placed on the youth program, however I know for sure what ever investment was / is made , what's the point when we don't allow for the youth to make any impact on the main stage.

if Handa could learn to have better distribution, so can Trubin, who is actually a lot younger than Handa was at the time

The problem is we don't have a proper plan to integrate youth to the first team. We just send them away on loan hoping those clubs will do the developing for ourselves so the player can return ready to play for Inter. Sorry but this isn't how it works. It can happen but that's the exception (Dimarco), not the rule. No club, especially in Italy, will insist on developping a player they don't own unless the player is just too good.

But what I am most afraid of is that the next GK won't be nowhere close to Onana in distribution and shot stopping.
Trubin is a better shot stopper than Onana. Just doesn't appear as agile due to body type. Similar with Handanovic.

Trubin is also good at coming out for crosses whereas Onana just typically went out without tomorrow at any moment. He improved there but it's still glaring that it's a big weakness.

I feel like Trubin is the closest thing we've seen to Toldo since his retirement. A lot of potential, it's all on him to take full advantage of it.

And Trubin is surprisingly good at low ball, far or near his feet. Also Onana has to prove his longevity due to his explosive style of goal keeping.

55mil is very good for one season after a free transfer.

I'm just sure that we would get 80mil for him if we could wait one more year.

I don’t think anyone pays 80M for a 28 year old goalkeeper.

Depends on how good we would've done as a club and how bad the situation at another club would be. That's why I was hoping United would be sweating bullets and we would sell him next summer, if we really need to.

Why not ask for an exchange with Maguire + cash. Inter need another defender, no?

But....but.... imagine Maguire in defense and lakaka in offense.
Glorious times ahead - Inter can't miss out on this opportunity

This is bullshit.

Where the fuck was trubin when Onana literally had one of the best campaigns in Champions League history in terms of shots saved?

One fluke Candreva goal and suddenly you guys use that as permanent ammunition for Onana not being good at crosses.

He’s been a to Europa league final and a champions league final, he’s won cups and league titles.

Tell me more about how trubin has proved his longevity from playing in Ukraine as a teenager.

Why is it always the black players that get their accomplishments shat all over here?

Onana, Dumfries, Lukaku.. it’s like the same old shit over and over and over again. It’s gone far beyond it just being a coincidence, this is a fucking pattern

Stop it with this bullshit left wing race victim mentality. Do you see Maicon and eto'o getting shit all over? Most people don't want to see Onana gone and that's a fact. Lukaku is lakaka and Dumfries is a dumbass, nothing to do with race. The one that got shit the most is a white Italian gagliardini.

Am I the only one that thinks 55 mil isn’t a terrible fee? He would still be one of the most expensive goalkeepers in the history of the game. And most of the goalkeepers that have gone for more money were younger when they made the transfer. Onana is by no means old, especially for a goalkeeper, but that means something.

I mean we got him on a free with no competition besides Marseille a year ago. I wish he would stay as our keeper till he’s 35 but this isn’t a bad sale price imo. The real issue is how we intend to use it.
I must agree with it. 55-60M is just fine and fair price for Onana, ofc we all would like to get 80M. But Cfc paying for Kepa 80M is more like an incident than like rule.

It's hard to see when key players are leaving the club. But to be honest, If we manage to sell Onana for 60M, it will be a good job. But we will sell him at the end for 50M including bonuses.

What is this, did I mention anything about Onana’s race or skin colour and you jump on that??? We’re discussing what are the pros and cons from both players and I didn’t say Trubin will have more longevity than Onana and I rate Onana higher than Trubin currently.

For you last sentence, stereotype is the world you can use for both of us if you want, not fucking skin colour.

And Correa gets shat on because he's a wannabe Asian

If anything, the opposite appears to be true. Some people will always defend certain player due to their ethnicity and don't accept any criticism towards them.
Crying "race" is too easy but cannot blame them since it seems to be working where they live.

Players who get the most shit on FIF are:
Gagliardini
Lautaro
Correa
Dumfries
Dzeko
Handanovic

Don't think there's any pattern really.

Onana turned out to be great business in retrospect, but I can’t help but be upset we’re losing another top player after 1 season because of market dynamics. *sigh* that’s just football in 2023 I guess.

This is bullshit.

That was one of the big question marks about Onana coming in. He appears to have made big strides and was a lot more commanding in the air last year than I expected him to be, but it’s still probably his weak spot. Trubin is literally 2m, which doesn’t hurt.
