I'm sure Roma sold Allison for more, and I'm sure what we'll end up getting is less than that.
It's more about playing as a team at a high level and systems of play.
Onana is the new deep playmaker. It's what Motta was carrying on about when he did his couching certs and was philosophising or whatever.
That's why they (FIFA) are looking at the offside rule.
I know what you're talking about, I just don't agree with this at all.
We don't need our goalkeeper to be our new deep playmaker. We need our playmaker to be our playmaker.
I love it too when once in 5 games, players pass the ball back and forth with the goalkeeper, but that's a russian roulette disaster waiting to happen (statistically).
Our striker should be our goalscoring machine, that's not the job of our CB.
For this to affect Inter so much, Onana should've been here in his 4th season performing better and better each season before.
What Onana did was replace a very old Handa who made some seriously cringe worthy mistakes.
Not saying Onana is bad, but take any relatively young and good goalkeeper and he would've looked amazing after the decline of Handa.
Hända at his prime with zero "deep playmaking" skills is still better than this year's Onana, my opinion.
So having said all this, I think we should take the money and move on.
Whether we should have asked for more money in these stupid times, is a real thing to have a debate on, but as for selling for serious profit, my answer is yes 10/10.
