In hindsight, he should have change things up in defense and midfield. But that's the thing, bar injury forced rotations, he runs to the ground every single starter until he gets a slap in the face like tonight.
I don’t share that opinion even in hindsight tbh. We didn’t concede absolutely anything except a goal from corner which should’ve been parried by the keeper, so the defence didn‘t really do anything wrong.

Nico-Hakan-Mkhi is our most creative combination in midfield and Dumfries wasn’t fit enough to start, whereas DiMarco is injured, so Carlos is an automatic starter - means that I don’t see what we should shake up in midfield either.

Don't have one.

Yeah, well if you just look for numbers and the goals scored and conceded we played a solid game, but that's not how that works. Genoa had initiative throughout the whole game. We looked sluggish and slow, both in defense and midfield. We all know how we look when everything is fine, and how we looked tonight. You are making it sound like we played a great game.

Fuck off with the refereeing shit. That Doveri shit fragmented the game so much and gave most if not all 50/50 throw ins and small fouls to Genoa.
The truth!

Tough match. I expected a draw from this game. A physical, solid team that is especially good at home that also had their entire team available (0 injuries for them I believe for the first time this season).

On the other hand, we've had a few weeks where our defence/wingback situation had made us overplay a number of players.

Overall we probably had more 'chances' but I thought it was our worst performance of the season and Genoa was in control of the match.

A draw away from home against Genoa isn't the end of the world. Tough place to go to. Ideally, we would win but you can't win every game in a 38-game season. It's important to get Dimarco and Lautaro back and hopefully we get the wingback signing soon.

I predicted a draw. Still unacceptable though. I noticed we often choke when the game between the games are big. We perform better when we play every 3 days, guess something to do with the psychological trainer, if we have any.

Not sure about that. Our best string of games were probably the first 3 games of the season and we played a week apart - Monza, Cagliari, and Fiorentina with an 8-0 goal difference.

Our biggest issue is when we have fitness/injury issues. We are good when we play every 3 days but only when we have the players to rotate, like at the end of last season. I think we can be just as poor playing every 3 days if we have injuries. The Lecce game wasn't particularly good either.

i don't wanted to say it before the game but i had the feeling that this was the hardest away game from the next 2-3 aways that we will have. The next one are also not that easy but we can do it, specialy with Lautaro and Dima back, we should not drop points for a while. It was clear that we will draw today, things were going too good. It's only frustrating the way it happend. Genoa was the better team and our goal was not even regular. I could live with it if they would care more, we sucked 90 minutes, just phatetic perfomance. Let's just hope that this isn't becoming a trend again really...

Next 3 away games are monza, fiorentina and roma. All of those are better than Genoa. Good luck.

Yes, for me Genoa was the hardest of that. Well not 100% sure about Roma, we will for sure going to need the full squad there. But Monza and Fiore are "easier", just my oppinion. Fiorentina is not that good as they seem. Monza seems to be weaker then last year and i honestly can't accept to lose points again against this fuckers. Out of 3 games we won only 1 against them, don't think they will continue this trend, draw/lose again would be ridiciolous.

Genoa could be playing for a much better position. Can't say whats their problem, maybe they are not that good in away games.
It's also not casual that Inter and Juve lost/draw to the same teams. Sassuolo Bologna and Genoa. Teams that can play good football and are not only defending the whole game.

Fuck Coppa tbh. Too greedy of a useless "trophy" with a thin squad might cost us the real title.

We should just loan Gagliardini every time we play against Genoa

juve and milan play their 18 year olds, but inter cant play a player under 23?... the problem is not that the players are bad, but that the coach is a pussy.

Thing is that you can't just throw youngsters out there and expect them to be less shit than your regular players. Gobbi is going through a transition based on youngsters and a few experienced players. They've been given support and also their club is patient with these young players.

I'm not defending Inzaghi's choices, but our scheme is totally different, and you know how easy and quick people tend to throw youngsters under the bus, as soon as they don't score two goals every match.

You build a team around players you think are worth it. For example if core of our team isn't clicking properly, nothing will work. There's been multiple times where our midfield was inexistent and our attack was beyond pathetic, do you think one or two promising youngsters would fix that?

I just watched the matched. What a flat non-performance.

It was obvious by the 60th minute that weren’t going to get a second unless we got a miracle penalty.

This is also the type of game I would love to see Sensi brought on in the 60th minute.

What pisses me off is it felt like Genoa wanted it more. Of course the fact I'm angry about a draw is always a good sign too I suppose.

Who knows maybe the special one and his new lap dog Lukaku will throw us an assist tomorrow.

You are not wrong. Genoa pushed more, we looked very poor and like the squad was celebrating and drinking the whole night before the game. Jube are playing exact same way, but they always get their 1 goal victory.
Winter has come for Inter.

He missed one chance that wasn't easy at all. He played well and when he subbed that also when our attacking game died. Thuram was a ghost, Arna was alone up front basically.
I agree, the problem is that taking arna out with alexis and barella with fratesi takes out two our most attacking threat player last night. Thuram was supposed to be the one subbed (he was playing poorly) and fratesi shouldve taken mikhi place instead. But it is what it is, we cant win every match, and with what we have done against genoa we are lucky to get even a point
