There are now solid links to Cassano-Pazzo swap.
Personally I would welcome Cassano with open arms. Forget for a second he's a die-hard inter fan for a sec; I think on the pitch he can offer a whole new set of options as opposed to us getting a 'vice' Milito. he can play on the wings, as a support striker, or as a first striker.
Forget the fact that we turned him down three seasons ago; i think both temperamentally and technically, Cassano has shown that he is fit for the big leagues in the last three seasons. The time is ripe for his switch. I think his best years are ahead.

Cassano is great but how would he fit in our tactics? Naming a bunch of technical gifted players doesn't give you the results.
He could be useful in a 4312 as the 2nd striker but we don't have the midfielders for that tactic nor the 4-5 strikers to cover up those 2 positions.
He can't play as a winger because he is far away from having the right attitude/strength to run down his opponent.
The only possibility would be to use him in a 4321 along Sneijder. But we already have Cou , Alvarez and Palacio for that so we don't need another one.
As a conclusion i think we don't need him at all. + I don't see any reason why we should be the one to resolve milan's problem by getting Cassano from them and giving them another striker.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFSuch a bizarre rumor. Two completely different players obviously but honestly it's a lateral move for both clubs. Neither one would make a big difference. The rumor of a Pazzo-Gargano swap appeals to me more.... never would have thought I'd be saying that in my lifetime.
