Longo is not up to much and is only there to develop, we have EL games and 7 (6) is about right for 3 positions for rotation when injuries are pretty much guaranteed as well

5 players plus longo isn't enough for 3 positions and it would mean he couldn't stitch to a 4231 if he wanted

Best probable scenario would be 2 good Def minded CM (Fernando/Gargano/NDJ+?)+Guarin+Wes+Cassano-Milito upfront.

If we were to get him a few things would happen:

No doubt were going with an albero formation because Cassano is not a winger he's a supporting striker. Alvarez would have to be loaned out somewhere and Palacio would be the primary backup to Milito. Getting Cassano would be nice but with him and Pereira you need 2 mids for that albero to be effective. A true destroyer and a true regista.

Cassano is new Baggio in Italian football. He played for Sampdoria, Roma, Milan and he loves Inter and everyone loving him. With right motivation he can be briliant in any team.

Cassano is exactly what we need.

A forward who can create chances, who can play on the wing, and who can fill in at striker if we need. The write down on Pazzini's value will be great for us in terms of FFP as well, this means this season will probably be just about <45m loss.


Pazzini played, really, one great game at Inter. His debut - where he should have had his hat trick. I think after that he regressed to the goal poacher he is naturally.


Cassano - whilst he might not be a great goalscorer - will be able to fill in for Milito. If Milito gets injured, then we have both Palacio and Cassano who can play up front...
