10 years of FIFI have just heard Chalobah name and I barely see Acerbi play, but my vote is on the former 100 %. We do not only need backup CB, but we also need someone who keeps our primary CB on the hop. We need someone trying his best to claim starting position which subsequently raises our team standard. Chalobah and Akanji tick the boxes, Acerbi does not. The mercato team should stop doing same mistake of recruting old "reliable" Italian-proven and exploring new talent instead.

I admit to never have seen Chalobah play, but seeing the track record of English players or former PL players in general in recent years in Italy, we should give him a try, even if it’s just a dry loan. Acerbi is a waste of money

So yes, there are high chances for this loan to happen as Lazio need to get him off the books and his relationship with the ultras is beyond repair.
I expect we take Acerbi in the last days of the mercato and sign Akanji on a free in January for next summer. Unless his club accepts 10M these days...

10 years of FIFI'm pretty sure at least Inzaghi prefers Acerbi over Chalobah.
If we can sign Chalobah to some favourable loan + option deal (which I doubt), maybe management overrules Inzaghi's wishes.
Akanji would be the most interesting one for sure, let's hope we can find a loan deal with Dortmund.

Calciomercato.com report that the Nerazzurri coach is keen on a reunion with the 34-year-old with whom he worked for three seasons while at Lazio, and that the player has promised to secure a move from the Biancocelesti.
Sky Sport Italia: the substance of an agreement is already in place between the two clubs but that they still must hammer out two final details:
Lazio need to offload him more than Inter need him, so Inter should set the conditions this time.

Agreed.
They will try saying to Dortmund: "Give us Akanji for free now!" until the last day of mercato, they will obviously reply: "F*ck no!", then on the last day we will get f*cking Acerbi. Then hopefully we strike a free deal for Akanji in January like we did for Onana, but I wouldn't be too sure about that.
