First of I think he had a good game, even his teammates was not working to his favor in the first half.
There is one aspect I think that can help him tremendously if he is able to increase his stamina and onwards the running distance, basically kept opening up like Brozovic and covering more grounds in defending; that was the biggest difference when Barella came on, like midfielders are supposed to be the extra man everywhere in a basic sense.
Hot take:
I actually think he might be a better traditional #10 (or a final third player) than Hakan, but Asllani is not better/ on par as a deep laying playmaker or the role they are both playing at Inter now. (Hakan only has shooting power and more refined techniques over him as a #10, but in terms of others attribution Asllani is quite natural for it)
He should thrive in a game against a team like Atalanta, given if his teammates trust him enough and play their role and make their runs, just like the pass he makes to Bisseck in the last game, there should be more space for the others to attack in short.
