I just read an article that states that Oaktree have put two members on Inter's Board of Directors and that they have a right to veto any decision made by Zhang. Also, the contract negotiations and extensions for our Captain and Barella have been put on hold.

This Championship is going to be short lived and we are going to be on the back foot for next season as Oaktree try to find us new owners.
THis is correct Marchetti and Carassai have been appointed in 2021...

Just to point this out, here's the source

https://sempreinter.com/2021/07/08/...endent-directors-on-inter-board-of-directors/

These guys have been there since the summer of 2021.

GdS: Zhang is close to reaching an agreement with Oaktree to extend a loan beyond May and the Nerazzurri won’t need to lower their wage bill over the summer
Inter President Steven Zhang is working to extend the terms of a €275m loan from American trust fund Oaktree, agreed in 2021.

The original agreement included a 12 per cent interest accrued, so the full repayment sum is €385m and is due to be repaid in May 2024.

Reuters reported in February that Zhang was working to extend the loan and keep control of Inter and Gazzetta reports today that the two parties are close to reaching an agreement.
Good luck

Zhang’s plan and Inter’s transfer guidelines

According to the pink paper, Zhang must pay around €350m, not €385m, but the Nerazzuri President plans to extend the deadline by one or two years.

This would give him time to further reduce Inter’s losses, develop plans for a new stadium, and seek potential minority shareholders.

According to Gazzetta, Inter will confirm losses between €40m and €50m in their next financial statement, which is still a significant improvement compared to 2021 when the Nerazzurri reported a record loss of €245m.

The reported imminent agreement with Oaktree means Beppe Marotta will receive the green light to extend with Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Barella. At the same time, the Nerazzurri will need to balance transfer income and expenditure next summer, but they’ll no longer be required to cut their wage bill thanks to the many free agents signed over the last few years, which allowed the club to reduce the amortisation costs.
Good news if he gets 1 or 2 years. Oaktree just want their money, they might not want to own the club.

Milanisti on all platforms saying we are doomed. We will be in Serie D playing against their U23 teams lol. Any day now. Just wait..

Instead:

Lets start with the best part : ⭐⭐ in 17 days infront of 65 000 milanisti on their idol Kaka`s birthday! Lets goooo!

Oaktree hammer swing will be postponed to 1-2 years, giving Zhang time to fix our negative balance and become a somewhat tasty project for interested buyers.

Our expected losses in the summer of 2024 will be 40-50M€ from 85M€ in previous year and compared to 3 years ago of 250M€! It could have been around -25M€ with UCL semifinals ( progression and gate receipts)

New main sponsorships coming in with pretty good deals.

Marotta will be here until 2027 along with Piero and Baccin

Inzaghi renews until 2027 ( hopefully)

Lautaro, Barella renewals

Zielinski, Taremi, new CB and RWB in the summer. Maybe a surprise free transfer because we`re the best at it.

Not so bad for a crippled doomed football club .

Probably best outcome atm.

Zhang is doing a good job all in all so let's trust the plan. We can't afford big signings under him but we will be a more sustainable club when he leaves and that's the greatest present he can leave

Things i ve been saying for over a year while the journos and experts in the italian media were running their doomsday stories.......
Would be interesting to see if the zhangs manage to pay down part of that principal or if they have to refinance the whole sum

A complaint has been filed with the Rome and Milan Public Prosecutor's Offices, the Federal Prosecutor's Office and Covisoc, of the "Jdentità Bianconera" foundation which raises the question of who is Inter's guarantor.

In short, it is believed that the conditions indicated as necessary for registration in the championships, both past and future, foreseen by the NOIF (the FIGC rules) are not respected due to chronic lack of basic economic balance and therefore due to absence, one can say chronic of business continuity.

Only good thing they did was bringin Marotta. Other than that they are crippling this team year a year. Fuck them. Without competent Marotta, Ausilio and godlike Inzaghi we would be like Lazio today. We need a healthy owners that can keep our best players, not to sell them if any decent offer comes. Limone is doing miracles.
Lets ignore that they converted around 100mio of debt into equity since last june?
Also lets ignore that our sporting situation is way fucking better than it was when they took over from thohir and if it was not for covid our financial situation would also have improved as our revenues improved massively and without the oaktree loan we d pretty much be break even..
But sure fuck em

"If it was not for covid" is carrying a lot of weight here, as they say. Our owners were affected more than others apparently, that's why it makes sense to say they are pulling us down. We could have capitalized more on their initial success.

they are 'pulling us down' in the sense that they cant afford to sugar daddy us anymore, and anyone who doesnt like that is effectively crying about it. We were living a good life before because they were throwing us blank cheques where most other clubs dont get them, now the blank cheque era is over and apparently thats 'they are pulling us down'. It isnt.

We are not making enough money to compete on the level we all want, that's why we need blank checks, what's not computing here after all these years

Most probable scenario is there will be no blank check owner coming up even after Zhangs. So you better scratch that out of your plans.

We compete on all levels but we're not the favourites on all those levels. But it's still fine, we can compete domestically as favourites. Competence beats money anyway.

That's a different issue. Just because we might not get what we need doesn't mean Suning is good for us, that was the point, and it has been for years. No one is ungrateful.

We don't make enough money to compete on our current level. The fact that we do compete anyway is because Suning invest every year, and take financial losses. They keep throwing massive checks at this club - more than 100m this year alone?
