    Italian Serie A 2006/2007

I think it's too soon to draw any solid conclusions (we can't forget Milan scored 85! goals last season), but if things do not start looking up soon then I hope Milan have a nice fix planned for the January transfer period. ;)

    Euro 2008 qualifying

I said it at the beginning that Israel has a very real chance of qualifying from this group (likely at the expense of either Croatia or Russia) and they've been doing very well so far. The England draw is great for both Israel and Croatia, though they're still in all likelihood safe. Here's...

    Inter - Spartak Moscow (18 Oct 06)

Wow, you guys should just ignore the guy. He's clearly not intending to discuss things intelligently.

    Inter - Spartak Moscow (18 Oct 06)

I rarely say things like this, but this is as close to a must-win game as Inter will get. At the very least, they must come away with points. If Inter lose, they're at best 4 back of Sporting for 2nd place. Luckily for Inter, Spartak is the weakest of the group and it's not yet winter.

Could anybody help me with this information? Have there been any missed penalty kicks (for any team) besides Ibrahimovic's? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind! Got it (Ibrahimovic, Ventola, Totti, Brienza if you're curious).

    The problems at Milan

Milan is most definitely not in a crisis of any kind. To claim anything otherwise is disingenuous. Parma, on the other hand...

    Inter - Chievo (24 Sep 06)

As always, a huge help. Thanks.

    Goal Scorers and Assist-Men

Wish I would have seen this thread sooner, it would have saved me a few minutes ;). I've been going through match reports to get league-wide assist totals, and I'm curious whether or not Figo deserves one for Samuel's goal against Chievo. The report reads: "Inter take a two goal lead through...

    Inter - Chievo (24 Sep 06)

If someone could help, it'd be appreciated. Could someone with video or memory of this game tell me who, if anyone, assisted on Chievo's 2nd and 3rd goals? Thanks.

Which clubs do you support in other countries?

I just don't feel as emotional when I watch them play as I do seeing Milan. :P Without that, it's impossible for me to consider myself a supporter.

Which clubs do you support in other countries?

I don't really support any, but I like when Liverpool or Tottenham do well. I also think Chelsea has been a treat to watch recently, though I'd feel sick if I were a fan of them. I also really like what Real Madrid has built for this year, but I don't care how they do. Atletico de Madrid is...

    Inter Matches on TV

I don't know about GolTV, but I don't think FSC shows any live Serie A games.

    Mundobasket 2006

Wow, big surprise. Congrats Spain and Greece as well. I hope the US can learn from both.

    Mundobasket 2006

There are a few reasons. First, they believe that getting a younger team together for multiple years (as this team is committed to three years together) is better for team chemistry, cohesiveness, and ultimately effectiveness especially on defense. The Dream Team worked when the rest of the...

    Italian Serie A 2006/2007

You make many good and correct points. Don't get me wrong, I don't see Milan as invincible, and the season will be a rough one if certain things prove not to be true. First, I think Cafu needs to start a majority of the games. Perhaps 25 or so. Or, he needs to hold up until Oddo comes in...

    Handoyo does America

I get RAI and Fox Soccer Channel through Time Warner Cable in Texas, though I'd have gotten DirecTV or Dish Network if my apartment could support it. Definitely get satellite though if you want to watch a lot of soccer. And DVR (or TiVo) is so incredibly useful.

    Italian Serie A 2006/2007

I think there's a strong chance that 2-3 years from now, Gourcuff will be looked at as the best transfer in Italy this year. That guy has tons of talent. Though, as far as players that will contribute much this season, you're pretty much right. I wouldn't say the transfer period was a bad one...

    European Transfers & Rumours Topic

True, but it certainly doesn't look like Dida will return after this season, and if he does he's already 33 years old and having some rough times recently. Having Amelia (or flipping him to Juve for Buffon) would be a huge boost not necessarily for this year but going forward. I would love them...

    European Transfers & Rumours Topic

Also, though I'm not sure exactly the mechanisms by which this works, I believe West Ham is forced to get rid of the pair if they recieve bids over 50m GBP. MSI would then receive a very large percentage of their transfer fee. So, this deal works out great for West Ham who get two of the best...

    Mundobasket 2006

It's happened in at least two recent major competitions now, it shouldn't be that surprising ;). Anyway, congrats to Greek fans. I missed the game, but I hear that Greece played really well and the USA played very poorly (especially on defense) after the first quarter. Certainly not a recipe...
