interesting, last summer mercato Chelsea tried to get him but Porto was bitching as always and asked a ridiculous price, nowadays he's available for a lower one. Maybe he had a bad year or somethin. I say go for him full throttle.

Pereira is an animal. Attack minded fullback with great pace and is not afraid to take on his man. Has a nice left foot. Versatile player who can play as a winger on the left, left side of the 3 man mid in the albero. He can give strama alot of options. Most likely will be used as a fullback primarily tho. When Maicon eventually packs his bags u need an attack minded fullback who can help pin the other teams flank in their own half. Lots of big european clubs have wanted him ever since South Africa and the undefeated run under Boas Porto had a two season ago. Who wouldn't want a player just coming into his prime with his kind of skillset he's simply a beast

He is great. Attack minded, true, but is good at defense as well. Better than Maicon, or Naga for sure. I'd say he is two way defender, in his best age (26), can help in the attack, while has good positioning at the back. If we can get him, i'd say run for it. Him on the left, and De Jong covering would be crucial for our play in the attack. Put Zanetti as RB with Guarin, play 4-2-3-1, and done deal.

If it's loan with option to buy, even better. For me Pereira is one of the best LBs in the world ATM. Complete package.

He IS good. I don't watch Portugal league regularly but he's clearly a good player, and definitely an upgrade in our fullback department.

I'm not very updated recently with the rumors, prices and shit because of university, but if the price is reasonable, then he would be a nice addition considering we need some quality in fullback role since Maicon is likely to go. He was great in the World Cup 2010 with Uruguay and certainly one of the best fullbacks in Portugal league.

Put Zanetti as RB

As far as I understood from fcinternews Maicon will stay. So he's a certainty, more or less, on the right wing. Now we need a RW and someone great in the midfield department as well as a striker. Damn, those three signings look like a big investment but we never even substituted properly Motta and Eto'o/Balotelli and we didn't sell them for peanuts either so we should do something about it this transfer window.

Pereira seems to be very good player. He would need to settle in serie a game, but finally we are talking about very solid player.
