Paolillo mentioned that we were not interested in Kjaer few days before the game itself. It would have been embarrasing had he said we were looking at him and then this.

Thank god. And, amazingly, we've not heard Kjaer talking to the papers about how great it is today. Imagine that.

I hate to burst your bubble but Kjaer wasnt the problem, its the two beside him who are bench material at Palermo only.

If you check the match ratings in any paper, Kjaer's are uniformly poor -- it not just me. I don't think anyone in their defense was good, but it was Kjaer who both Milito and Eto'o run right by for their goals, and he wasn't blameless on Mario's second one, either.

To be honest there was a worse defender on the pitch yesterday than Kjaer...Santon. Altough I aint a keen admirer of Kjaer, it's not right to judge a player over a game. Especially when he's a 20-year old kid, and is trying to mark players like Eto'o, Balotelli & Milito.

Kjaer had a bad game which was helped by the fact that the two next to him arent the usual starters which he has an understanding with.Hell we conceded three yesterday!!

Anyways dont judge him from one game.I am not saying i am his biggest fan but i have been impressed by him in other games. If you want a performance to counter this one watch him against Juve..

They are rumoring Inter officials have been in Brazil discussing with the agent of Mario Fernandes.

From that video, he plays as CB and not RB. He's just like Lucio, he likes to go forward with the ball time to time. I think Mourinho likes precisely that kind of defender. I don't understand how the media have come up with the idea he would be a replacement for Maicon. It doesn't make him wing back if he can go forward with the ball.

If you play with 3 defenders away at a big club's stadium, you play with a huge risk that you'll concede goals.

Drenthe! LOL

That guy is terrible. Physically he is a monster, but technically and tactically, I say we let Madrid have him. We will keep Maicon, thanks.

If Maicon goes, it will be the same as Ibra leaving, change the entire system, and add three new players... Hope that is not our future, but oh well. Maicon has been fantastic the last three years, and it has been a real pleasure to watch him bombing up and down the flank. So different to what Zanetti and other RBs offered us! And he isn't a liability in defense either! What a player!

I think Boateng is a good choice. Haven't seen much of him, but a young, strong defender fits the bill, alright.

drenthe doesn't play in maicons position, besides, he's still VERY young and the only thing that makes him unsuitable for inter is that he attacks too much and leaves alot of space in defense

cambiasso and samuel weren't exactly doing well at madrid when we bought them ;)

But we had seen Samuel done fantastic prior to his time in Madrid. Also Cambiasso was quite decent for them. He wasn't playing enough due to their other management problems. It had nothing to do with Cambiasso's talent.

If he can attack (run with the ball + put in decent crosses) he can be considered as a midfielder in Inter's current setup - as JM preffers his CM (LCM or RCM) to do some defending.

I have not watched enough of Drenthe or Real Madrid to comment if he can suit into that role (may be like Muntari's role - since he is left-footed) - but wat do u ppl think?

Personally I always wanted a Serginho (Milan) kind of player for us - fast with dangerous crossing abilities - can Drenthe play in that kind of role for us?
