i want diarra from real (he'll cost an assload of $$ though), quaresma and trade jimenez for meghni from lazio....
i saw that kid meghni in trinidad in the fifa U-17 tournament....he was real hot shit...really looked like zidane but i knew he was in for a tough time playing at bologna and now at lazio...he needs to be given some decent chances...

anybody watched him today against real??
he was lazio's best player (i think he was trying to showcase his skills for Real) and it's sad to see him waste away at lazio

How is he getting this EU passport, Stef?

Not sure how but sports.it in their article says he is getting a passport from the community in june. I presume that to mean an eu passport.

I was thinking about how he would fit in in Mancini's physical midfield. We all know Mancini likes to have his midfield centered around tall and strong players. I don't know how a low and light player like Banega would fit in in DM.

I don't think 174 cm is too short for Mancini's midfield. Matias Almeyda was 173 cm, but we all know what kind of DM he was. :D

As long as he's not in Pizarro's height, it will depend on the player himself.

It's about Daniel Carvalho from CSKA Moscow. Interesting player but for me, he is not the right answer to Inter's quest for midfielder. He's way too offensive (Brazilian, surprise).

The article tells that Inter will get him next June when his contract expires and tells already about medical visit. Don't know should we trust this article.

If this really happens, seems Mancini (or Moratti?) wants to replace Figo, other words he wants to get an offensive midfielder with very limited defensive abilities. Okay, I can tell I have seen just a couple of matches from Carvalho but in addition to those, his position at starting lineup etc. tells that he is really offensive, almost a forward.

I would definitelly go for him... I've said this two yeas ago... Every just laught at me... :)

He is offensive yes, but what playmaker isn't? Dani Carvalho has power, speed, vision... Just the player we need, and IMO he is perfect for Italy...

I would be delighed if we sign him...

he have the talent to be part of our squad, i don't know if starter or bench player, he is not a big defender, but same thing about Luis Figo.
I hope we sign him, he deserves to be in the Brazilian NT from months ago.

This is great, I love that guy ever since I saw him play against Arsenal in Moscow last season and scored that thunderous free kick

The problem now is for Jimenez to prove himself even more, plus he will provide some stability in the flanks as he coul play like Deki on the sides if needed

And still I want Quaresma

My Midfield for next season:
Jiminez
Dacourt
Carvalho
Quaresma
Deki
Cuchu
Vieira
Solari
Pele
Cesar

Nice really :)

I don't think it's a good idea to keep Jimenez and Dacourt.

I think its gonna be good this way, look most probably if Carvalho comes, he will be either loaned or Jiminez will be loaned or out of the pic unless he keeps his prformance he has now

Well, Carvalho would threaten exactly Jimenez if the latter one will remain. I see the whole picture that Mancini will continue with 4-3-1-2 and that doesn't require many offensive mids in the squad. Quaresma is out of the question since he is just a winger (try to understand this, quys). If we would play with one center forward and two flanked forwards, Quaresma would be a perfect signing. But not now.

If Carvalho will be signed, and Jimenez will hold his place at the squad then those are the off.mids and no one else. Inter need also two-way mid and def mid also, since I don't know will Dacourt continue anymore at Inter. Those off.mids wouldn't be sure starters since their young age and really offensive mindset.

But I don't believe Carvalho will be signed on December.

Carvalho would be an idiotic transfer, he is far from worldclass. There is no point buying an AM if we arent going for a one of the absolute best. Carvalho would just be another mediocre squad player who wont improve our squad quality.

Id rather keep jimegol then.

And i wouldnt put to much into it anyways, since its Corriere dello sport who made up this rumour. They only write horsecrap.

u think he is not world class cause he has never played in a world class team before, he just needs a team who give him the chance, he is a very talented player who can add something different coming out from the bench, better than jimenez and solari convined.

Were is JZ?? He ain't a bench player and maicon and maxwell/chivu have the other spots in defence.

It's either quaresma or carvalho. Carvalho was impressive a few years back but he was very very disappointing in the two cl games I saw cska vs Inter this season.

My midfield for next season:

JZ
Cambiasso
Viera
Stankovic
Pele
Jimenez
Banega
Carvalho/Quaresma/Diego/Nasri
Bolzoni
Cesar

Solari and Dacourt's deals are up and I wouldn't renew them.

My views are similar to Stefan's. But I'd sign Jimenez only if he is one of our best players in the whole season and not just December, remove Cesar, which is hard because of Mancio and add a new midfielder from the youth ranks as well that can play in the wings.

I've noticed that too; however, Carvalho had a serious injury which stretched from the start of this season until CSKA's home game against us.

Well, whoever said we don't need Quaresma, I support him... He is pure winger, and nothing else, if we keep playing 4-3-1-2, we don't need him...

I would remove Cesar and Dacourt, Pele is better than him... :) Carvalho will be great, and about Jimenez, I don't know... We are looking for a first team spot, if Jimenez proves himself, than why not having botu, one as a starter, one as a backup player...
