I can't say anything about Mariga by what I've seen myself. But what I've heard, he's been quite influential for Parma this season.

Surfed the Parma forum..I believe its a done deal..Mariga is an Inter player..2millions + the ownership of Biabany..

The folks there are quite pissed off and I can understand why..Man City offered 10 + ownership of Bojinov..

I think this Mariago deal is good. And I don't agree that it's bad. sure there are better (creative) midfielders out there, but if this guy is a workhorse midfielder and can work as hard as Muntari and IF he can pass better than Muntari then he will only be an improvement to the left of our 3 man midfield over Muntari/Motta

I have to say I totally agree. We have more than enough workhorses in midfield. Practically everyone except Sneijder (well, even Sneijder a little bit) is a workhorse, maybe with the exception of Thiago Motta (who doesn't really perform so it doesn't matter anyway). We are sorely in need of more creative players in midfield, especially if we are going to get anywhere in the CL.

I mean, where are we going to play this guy? Backup for Chuchu? Backup for Deki? Replacement for Muntari/Motta? If we use this guy as a starter, then what happens to Zanetti? Mariga-Cambiasso-Deki, with Sneijder playing AMF leaves no room in midfield for JZ.

Maybe this is Jose's solution to our LB problem, with JZ moving to LB and Santon as backup.

Buying Mariga doesn't bother me; I haven't seen a lot of him, but I've seen more than enough of Muntari and I can say I've had enough - I'm sure young McDonald will be a step up from the Ganyan, and he came cheap! What more could I ask for!?

well i hear its a done deal......didnt go to man city cos of work permit in the UK.....but i have mentioned that we need a tall and young lad in the midfield, just didnt think that it would be him.....but i think he can only be good for us cos we play parma on wednesday how have just got crespo but loose the imfluence in the midfield that should weaken them and stregthen us.....there are no video on youtube showing his contributions this season, but if the parma fans are this upset then theres something there we havent seen.FORZAINTER

Lol I prefer Muntari to Motta. Muntari may be terrible, but at least he works hard. Motta doesn't even do that...
