It's not as simple as that I'm afraid.Haha yeah, it's not liike Cassano's role would be to backtrack half of the game. He's duty is to generate offense and I can tell you he can do it much more than any of our current players. If backtracking is part of his role, he will do it, but I doubt anyone would put significant backtracking duty to player like Cassano. Like Azzkikr said, only when we are defending, he will have to backtrack.
In 4-4-2 it wouldnt be a problem. It would be just like at Samp. Pazzini is doing hardwork, while Cassano is just waiting for the team to win the ball back.
It would be even doable in 4-3-3. but with 4-2-3-1 the situation is more complicated. It would be easier if our team played high up the pitch, trying to win the ball quick, but seems people don't want to do that.
PLUS is that it would be just one player like that in a team. Pretty much everybody else from the first string of players, like Eto'o, Milito, Sneijder are good hardworkers, so they could compensate it.
ps. We need him anyways though, so there is little debate here.
