You do know he has 13 goals in 17 matches this season, right??

Statman, hasn't he scored 5 in one game and another 1-2 hattricks?

He has quality but not the consistency and attitude that will win you trophies. No thnks.

Samuel Eto'o
Viviano
Santon - Ranocchia - Benedetti - Natalino
Obi - Mariga
Sanchez - Coutinho - Biabiany
Castaignos

And I am sure with Leo, we would add more young talent over the next 18 months...

The future is looking bright..

That lineup is

He scored 5 against a shitty team. and he scored only in 6 matches.

But i speak about overall.

Last season 44 games / 12 goals
08-09: 43/14

+ he is 30 and his price would be too high.

Don't waste money for him.

I never said I wanted him, but what does it matter how many he scored in 1 game? The guy said "few goals" about the man who is leading the EPL in goals this year. Notice I didn't argue with any of his other points, but 13 goals in 17 games still should be recognized whether he had all 13 in one game or if he had one goal each match for 13 matches...

I still think he is hugely overrated and do not want him at Inter though...

Tevez over-rated Cafe?? I love you bro, but seriously? Have you watched him play???

As for Berba, he is the closest to Ibra in terms of style but wont really leave Man U. VDV well, there was a discussion in the summer as well if he can play on the left, he would be welcome, but I dont see him leaving Spurs, he's got a good thing going there.

Well, what sum would you pay to ManCity to get Tevez? To me Tevez is too much of a headless chicken, who is undoubtedly full of energy most of the time.

He's been scoring pretty regularly though, I think there's a method to his madness. My only worry with Tevez is that after a year he'd be back to whining and complaining, talking of retiring, talking of returning to Argentina, etc. Based on his play alone though I think he'd be perfect.

Tevez to play in our counter attacking way? I'd pay 30m easily. He not only scores goals, he makes a lot of space for the other strikers, he makes them look good. Works his ass off, stops the other team countering with a lot of sucess and manages to create a couple of chances each game by chasing the ball like a rabid dog(pardon me for the bad analogy). I've been watching Man City after the Balo transfer a lot.

I personally think he's the closest thing to Eto'o right now, form-wise. A leader on the pitch, not many players these days can carry the team on their own. Yes I agree he needs to be on a leash a little, but with the senior Argie statesmen in the team, that can be handled, I mean he isnt as bad as a case as Cassano. He's the top dog at Man City and hence the swagger. I watched him at Man United and he ticked all the boxes behaviour wise until Fergie just woudnt sign him which I think in hindsight has been proven to be the wrong decision.

THE ONLY CON, I'd make sure he doesnt want to go back to Argentina first.... that is the most important consideration. Eto-Tevez and Sneijder in a counter attacking way, would be UNSTOPPABLE in Calcio and CL as well. I'd even sell Milito to make space for him.

I don't know of many headless chickens who can score over 20 goals in the EPL :p

Lol. He is definitely not a headless chicken of that sort. Tevez is a wonderful player but lately, I have been thinking that he is on drugs and that is a big problem. One day he says he wants to retire, the next day he says he is not interested in money, next day he is rumoured to have asked more wage to remain with Man City, etc.

If we'll play counter attacking way.

Currently I would pu my money on something different, knowing Leonardo is now our coach.

With that being said though, I think Tevez would be an asset to any team, no matter how it plays. If they play deffensive with fast counters, he will be most usefull, but he won't be useless when the team plays otherwise.

We'll see. I have to say, I'm very anxious to see what Leonardo will think off, and how we'll play Napoli game.

I also agree, that he seems like a little nutcase at the moment. But... we skipped on "our" nutcase, namely Cassano, so there is a vacant spot :p

If Leo is a good coach, he will play to the squad's strength...... coz thats what good coaches do. I'd personally want to see 2-3 games, because I dont think he can do a lot in the week after Christmas lunches and parties and the hello-hi mode the players will be in. :D

Definetly.

But I'm sure you know my stance on the way we played before, and that I believe we had very few games that it would be advisable for us to play deep.

If Leonardo will choose otherwise, I will say same thing when Benitez tried it. The difference will be, if we'll play games were it will be the only smart way to play it deffensive.

:thumbsup:I think everybody in this forum would sell Milito in his current form for Tevez.

Honestly though we can play a 10-0-0 and as long as the players are happy and we are winning, nobody is going to complain.

We didnt play every game deep for all the 90mins, you are right, but our first and foremost priority was to stay in the position till we have the ball, defence was first and 80 times out of 100, Cuchu would stay back in our half and Motta would be the one trying to create the play by moving the ball to Sneijder who was in our side of the center circle or either wing, wherever we could find space and with one touch quick moves and turns we created chances..

That is the best this squad can do, I want to do it differently yes, but only if we make 3-4 signings, otherwise Leo's going to be sacked by June.

I really doubt we will go to Mourinho system in our future. Perhaps for this spring, if Leonardo is a smart guy (or he finds a way to play otherwise and get results, then we don't have to go). But I'm not sure if Tevez is worth the money to Serie A football with little space, organized defences and all. True fighter indeed, but not sure if he's THAT good, that comprehensive as a player (to reason let's say 30m€ price tag).

Matthäus,Messi,
what does it say? leonardo is interested in dzeko?

No,just Bartolomucci suggesting that he would go for Dzeko instead of Kaka.
I completly agree with him,Kaka is currently fantasy talk and Tevez(as much as i adore him)is not available this winter-but very possibly Dzeko.Although Wolfsburg are shitty in the leage(no wonder as they are basically having no midfield due to their stupid summertransfer-window) he still scored 10 goals in the leage so far and he had to take the ball from the midfield himself more than once.He is 24,great technique, scores rougly 20 goals each season and is not injury prone at all.If he comes i would even let Milito go and turn my attention to Kun in the summer.Next season we would kill the serie A.
