2011/2012 Midfielders Rumors Thread

Since Barca signed Fabregas, they look somewhat stacked at midfield.. I predict they will sell 1 or 2 of their midfielder.. I'd say we line up for a nice deal for Affelay or Mascherano.. I mean: Iniesta, Fabregas, Xavi, Busquets, Mascherano, Affelay..? All for 3 positions..

Mascherano plays mostly as CB for them. Affelay and Iniesta can play on the wing as well.

I agree that they dont need that much players, but i doubt they will offload some (maybe Thiago only)...

Sadly, imo, lass diarra is phased out because that type of defensive midfielder is not needed anymore. He doesn't play because his technique, passing, and off the ball movement is woeful. Defensive midfielders now need to be more than just "destroyers"; they also need to start/contribute to the possession game.

The ideal DM now is really a CM who can tackle and has defensive discipline...

No to Lass please. We need more technical oriented midfielders.
