Doesn't Ramirez play at the same position as Sneijder/Alvarez/Coutinho/Bessa?

I know he's good but we don't need a player like him. We have plenty of talented central attacking midfielders.

was wondering the same
if our offense would find its form or does so next season its more the defense that bothers me - that and the wings in general
just my 50 cents

Define quick? He is fast, reminds me of Kaka. But not as quick as Coutinho.

What?

Pajo, this makes no sense.

Fast is like average speed or speed once in full motion (usually over a long distance).
Quick is like acceleration; how long it takes you to go from rest to full speed (usually over a short distance).

With that defined, your analogy doesn't make sense. Kaka was both quick AND fast. Much, much quicker and much, much faster than Coutinho.

A better analogy would be Messi is very quick probably quickest player today, whilst ronaldo is very fast. Messi can leave you for dead with his first 2 steps, ronaldo probably can but mostly cannot. He needs to put that ball into space and build up speed. Either way, Gaston to me is reasonably quick and fast. He has good physique too, but to me he is way overrated and overpriced. He should cost Alvarez cost tbh. 12mil or so.

How did we get hold of such a young talent? To even be on bench at 16 is a massive feat. There would have been a lot of resistance from the club to let such a talent go and even some competition. That's a great deal by our management, and we have been making many such ones which often go unnoticed. Credit where its due.

The best part is that we can get good prospect " i hope he becomes a great player ". but otherwise on this lvl we are fucking above Chelsea PSG Malaga and FUCKING ANZHI or what the fuck they call now days.

So welcome to inter.

I agree completely. Not that we must not invest in the attack but our defense was the pits last season. I know its off-topic but we traded/sold/loaned Caldirola for Livaja - lets hope they are first building the attack and midfield and finally the defense.

Ramirez valued at €25m
By Football Italia staff
Friday June 1 2012

Bologna have several offers on the table for their Uruguayan attacker Gaston Ramirez, but are holding out for €25m, says his agent.

The 21-year-old has caught the attention in his two seasons so far in Serie A with Emilia-Romagna outfit Bologna and rumours are strong that he will be moving on this summer.

Confirming a change in the player’s representation situation, his agent has suggested that it is a matter of discussing the bids to have come in with the Felsinei.

“Now begins a new story for Ramirez - the boy has signed under the management of a company run by my cousin, FIFA agent Oscar,” revealed Pablo Bentancurt of his client to FCInterNews.it.

“We have signed an exclusive contract with Bologna, which runs from today. The only agent for the guy is now me and I want to specify that other agents speaking on Gaston’s situation do so without knowing anything.

“We must meet with Bologna to understand his situation - there are offers for him and we must see what the Rossoblu want to do.

“From Germany, Wolfsburg have offered €15-18m, whilst from Russia, Zenit St Petersburg have shown up. With Liverpool, however, the situation is at a standstill because the Reds are just choosing their Coach.

“Bologna want €25m, but an agreement can be found - it is obvious that Bologna would do well from his sale. They would receive 70 per cent, whilst 30 per cent will go to Penarol, as agreed earlier. Thus, the higher the price, the higher the proportion of cash that will be.

“Gaston is a very young player with a broad spectrum of prospects - he has done well in Italy, both in a qualitative and quantitative way. It is normal that many clubs now want him.”
LOL so IT IS TRUE: when INTER steps in, price goes up by at 50% €25m

I know the italian link was already posted, but I wanted to clear things out regarding his ownership.

Let's just hope Parma sign the other half of Giovinco's card and then sell all of it to us for 15-18M. That's the best option for us now!

Mariga might knock off 3-4 mil from the price. If we're lucky.

That'd be one hell of a transfer swoop for that much. Comparable to the price we got Sneijder for. Giovinco is a gem.

Oscar would be a great signing. But Internacional just bought his rights for about 6M euros (or 15M reais). It is not gonna be easy to get him.

And Giovinco is garbage. A Juventus flop and IMO he is not good enough to big-club key player.

giovinco had 15 goals-16 assists in 36 league games. sneijder had 4 goals-5 assists in 20 league games.
