Chicarito is fast like hell but still needs too many chances to score.

nope, not at all, just the usual FIF bullshit (1 member out of 5,785 thought about a random forward and started a totally useless discussion).

At least the Cassano related posts get you about ~10 thanks! :fuckyea:

I think this would be a very depressing forum if we only spoke about the players that we're linked with and not the players that we think we should be trying to sign.

valid point, but:

1) It's depressing anyway, we are far behind other Serie A teams this summer - TOO. People troll 24/7 in order to try to cheer fans up.
2) I also think that there are many many forwards that FIF would pick before Javier Hernández Balcázar. So yeah, quite pointless talking about him, especially that not even tribalfootball linked him to us. :yao:

I dont know what you guys are expecting but a backup forward is gonna be on the cheap very cheap money spent the last few days of the mercato probably. Osvaldo would be ideal but is expensive and Zeman admires him a lot according to Marchetti. Borriello fits the bill of a classic centravanti. What harm can he do? You get a cheap very experienced center forward who can give Milito a break during the grudge days of the winter, knows he's not a starter will accept a bench role and can give u goals off the bench for cheap. I dont see any issue at all with Borriello. Not too long ago he was a deadly striker

Borriello or whatever cheap alternative isn't going to cost you 4.5 million a year to sit on the bench tho. Longo should be the guy give the kid a chance. If an emergency strikes Palacio can be the lone centravanti

2.5, not 4.5

Longo is really really not to be taken seriously as an option for us right now. I would have much preferred Castaignos over Longo but whatever.

Damn, i didn't know that where did you get 2.5 million from i thought i read from sky pazzo was making close to 4.5 million this upcoming season. Didn't know that. For me like i said Osvaldo is the guy that would be ideal closest ur gonna get to a Milito type a centravanti but he costs a lot so either you go for a cheap name, or give ongo a shot. I understand the he's not reliable yet and if something were to happen to Milito we'd be in trouble no doubt about it but were not spending big on a centravanti. That's my point if we get someone expect it to be a last couple days of the mercato type of deal and for peanuts.

Cheap? I believe Borriello's gross salary is probably around tha 4,5m€ annually. Also like Universe said, I don't see a difference between Borriello and Pazzini, apart from Pazzini being better overall. Playing style is the same, a static center forward.
