Can't wait for this summer's version. That quote is going to be hard to beat.

2010 - "the real coup was keeping Maicon"
2012 - "A big transfer coup? We've already made one: Stramaccioni"

Anyone recall what the 2011 version was?

After selling Eto'o and replacing him with that turd, I don't even think Branca's balls are big enough to call that a coup. Maybe it was keeping Sneijder?

It wasn't, because Gasp prefered to sell Wes instead of Eto'o, and get Palacio for that money.

BTW. This reminds me of Strama's words on press conference (after Milan game, 4-2):

"Transfers? We've already made two - Coutinho and Jonathan!" (both on loan that time)

Modric? Why did we even sell Sneijder in the first place? Yes, we might spend more salary for Sneijder (6 M per year compared to 5 M per year - Modric's salary in Madrid), but at least we can save the transfer money for other reinforcements.

Because Modric is way more agile than Sneijder. Can cover more space with/without the ball. In my opinion a better player in general.
Sneijder has a deadly eye for an assist and scary as fuck shoot from the box line and 1/2 meters inside the box, and thats all, he is fragile as fuck. :D

That's not my point, tbh. I thought we don't have luxury to purchase high-cost player such as Modric. My point is instead of spending money for Modric, we could have used Sneijder in appropriate formation that suits his playing style (just like Mourinho did). This sadly demonstrates that we don't have coherent coordination between the coach and the one who is managing the club's transfer.

Different players tho. Modric play way more deeper than Sneijder.

Santana is too old and is declining same with Cassani. Weiss is good for a back up ONLY, if he is on a low wage.

Who the fuck is Frankie Lodi?

The only thing Branca has the balls to do is aggravate inter fans with his shitty flop signings!
