Huh? These three players are amazing except when Pogba wants to do everything himself nowadays, but prices will always go up no matter if city or psg exists. Kovacic isnt half the player those three are and still he was overpriced if you wanna look at it like that.

To be fair, Sterling's number are amazing for his age. Miles ahead of Kovacic. And he's a year younger.

Also he's more offensive which generally means a higher value.

Sterling is a lot better a player though. Remember he carried Liverpool on his back basically the first half of the season when they were without Sturridge. There is a reason he went for £50 million

Sterling is overrated as every other English player is! That beeing said hes still pretty good and very talented.

I guess I just don't see how Sterling is "a lot" better. I mean let's not all of a sudden act like the guy is a scrub, he just went to Real fucking Madrid for 40 million euros. I don't just a player based solely on price or purchasing club but I think that speaks volumes by itself.

He is not starter anymore, yesterday he was on the bench and dont play any minute!
Melo was 90 minutes on the field!

I think he is better option than Siqueira tbh!

Siqueira, Telles... with these names I really can't see an end to our two decades of left back curse. Apart from Zanetti playing there, I can't remember being too happy with that position after we sold Roberto Carlos. Would be cool to see a list of left backs that have been utter and complete failures during this period. My God it would be long.

4. He is at a bit more developed stage, while Kovacic is still figuring out his perfect role.

5. Liverpool were more reluctant to sell him, they did not need to raise funds.

6. Sterling was going to direct competition, that usually drives up the price.

I think we got a fair value for Kovacic. Sterling was way over priced because of the above reasons.

Yeah I don't disagree with any of this. My quote was commenting on Wera calling Kovacic less than half the player Sterling is from an ability standpoint.

I just get that feeling everytime i see Sterling play. But Inter is hell for a young talent, so we'll see once/if Kovacic gets adjusted to the league and if he can reach Modric's level or not.
