Not possible unfortunately, but at least we'll get another chance to conclude the deal next season with him. One of the players you get and you know will give you at least 8 solid great seasons.

I believe Juve, Madrid or even english clubs are going to chase him next year.

To be honest, I prefer SMS than Modric, as he is younger and familiar with serie A.
I know Modric is world class, but he is 33 years old this year and his wages will be over the top as well.

What makes you think that we cannot be in a transfer race with those teams next season? All we need is a top 4 finish.

He was born in Spain, not sure how much of his life he spent there. So it might be a catalyst if he has a preference there (Real or Barcelona), but other than that, if he stays at Lazio we can get him in 2019.

Just wanted to say that I'm hyped about the talent in France right now. It seems like every team in Ligue 1 has a huge talent!

We should've bought Issa Diop imo
Ndombele is ridiculously talented. If we are serious about getting an SMS-type player, he is the best option. He is gonna have an awesome career.
Aouar is really really good too but it is too risky for us to spend 50M on a 20 year old.
Fekir, however, is worth the 65M he will cost.
I liked Seri too and 30M isn't too unreasonable. We'll see now he does with Fulham.
For depth, I think Yassine Benzia would be a great rotation player. He's still only 23, had huge potential 4 or 5 years ago but got unlucky with injuries. He's playing well for Lille and we could get him super cheap next summer. Plays attacking mid and takes great free kicks. Obviously buying him would be a risk but I think for ~15-20M he could become a huge player.
