Messi will be a flop that will bankrupt Inter. If it was the year we 1st had a new staduim and were using his for marketing maybe. But he isn't going to work with Conte. He isn't Ronaldo. He has crap menaltity that was hidden by a godlike team in Barca. He failed in 3 finals WITH FKING ARGENTINA !!! Portugal isn't even as good as Peru and Ronaldo got them two titles with the likes of fking NANI and 9 other shit players !!!

Spend those wages and the transfer fee on a strong bench so we have options off the bench. Not this mute pussy who will want crazy money to come or let him go to Newells and score 50 a season there.

Hypothetical question, for fun: would you swap Martinez for Messi; no cash involved either way, assuming Messi's current salary is unchanged.

No. But I would swap Perisic or Nainggolan for Messi.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Who wouldn't?

I don't know why I'm even commenting on this but if Messi came I don't think Conte would be so dumb as to not use him. We'd field a 3-5-1-1 with Messi behind Lukaku or Lautaro and 5 in the midfield to cover the space behind :einstein:

That’s not a fun question.

I think I would swap him. Financially might not make a lot of sense but Lautaro has been playing like shit lately and Messi is a huge publicity boost for Inter specially with CR7 also in Serie A, Juve-Inter matches would be the new Barca-Real that everyone in the world would want to watch.
Also convincing top talent to come to Inter shouldn’t be a problem. Who wouldn’t want to play with Messi.

Messi is worth atleast 120m euro and the quality he will bring on the pitch is better than anyone we have right now AND now add the publicity man

I’d do it, to have the goat retired in your shirt,
The closest we have is ronaldo, and he bring a lot of new fans until today
Branding wise its no brainer

But we then couldnt sign anyone in the next 3-5 years because messi alone earn 100 millions gross,
CR shackle juve so much financially and he “only” earn 2/3 of messi

33 year old that quit on his team against Bayern that will make 50 million a season. Will not get better and will only get worse. Likes 1 year contracts. I think most of you have seen Messi at Barca. It's like seeing players at Atalanta or Udinese. They look world class in a system that mask their shittiness. Watch Messi with Argentina. HE gives up on that team all the time and is a cancer that wants to be a player coach but won't speak.

23 year old with huge potential a bit over hyped. I mean I would pass on Messi and Sell Lautaro for 100 million if some dumb EPL team gives it to us. Or keep Lautaro and pass on Messi.

We get Messi.... he will want Conte fired and Lukaku benched. So that is what 30 million a year in wages wasted on top of the 50 we will pay him?

i dont disagree with where youre coming from entirely but i imagine even a crappy version of messi would be a wonder to have on our team, at the very least he would score 20 goals if he does seriously decline, which is still good enough lol

we havent really been a team in position to land someone of messi's caliber as of late lol

No.

I'm only interested in Messi on a free. This Ronaldo mess of paying loads for him + a huge wage bill is a mess.

This. Having him free would allow us to forget the whole thing mutually with Messi if it doesn't pan out at all. With 100m€ transfer fee, it would be a disaster with big capital losses if we had to move him out for some reason. Simply a risk management.

If he wants out right now, IMO it decreases our chances considerably. Or Suning still goes ahead and wants him and gets him, Marotta is out of the door next day. He's not gonna take 100m€ or whatever Messi would cost to his burden.

i wouldnt be surprised if he was available for free this summer tbh - offloading his wages from the book could go a long way to solving barca's problems next financial year anyway, truth be told. There might be some notional plusvalenza with a player swap like they did Arthur/Pjanic at inflated values, if they can find someone they want. Skriniari valued at 90m with Messi+60m, for example...

Yeah well maybe.

Most probable scenario remains that Messi stays at Barcelona.

Messi comes with an army of fanboys that could turn us into a bandwagon...that is my only reservation, because I dont like cheap shot fans.

How many Inter fans became Inter fan because of Ronaldo? I did.. 20+ years later I still watch every game.
Messi in the team will be a magnet for fans (and players) to follow. A lot of them will be plastic fans who will disappear when he's gone, but a large part will fall in love with the club forever.

If they will all buy his new jersey immediately, let's do it :)

We might have to put some kind of a test for FIF registration though.
