We need a solid and reliable goalkeeper. Handanovic must go away. I hope this will be the last year we have a light pole as goalkeeper.

I definitely have a national bias, but I would take Rodak from Fullham.

I don't think so, the dude always struggling with high ball.

Obviously being so small for a goalie. Handa or other big goalkeepers would have gotten the ball and would have avoided DDA's goal.

Don't get me wrong, Cagno played awesome, but in terms of this crucial position I am very oldschool, get me a big guy who can scratch out good placed balls, for example Donnarumma - who I don't like personally and who is overrated, but you get an idea what a goalkeeper should be physicially talking.

Cragno is JC type of goalie. Great reflexes, agile for a GK, but poor in the air. I wouldn't mind him tho, lots of great GKs are often poor in the air, i.e Oblak, Ederson or even Ter Stegen, they are all poor with crossed balls and under 1.9m tall, i think.

Cragno still needs to improve tho. Sometimes his decision making is awful, and can make some retarded passes. A for Handa replacemen, Oblak would be a dream lol, but not possible. I like Meret more, but fucker has injury problem and instead of getting better, he is declining in the past year or two. Gollini might be worth it, very similar to Handa in all aspects, even ball watching lol.

How is Lafont doing? I liked him a lot in Viola as 19 yo. How is he doing in france? Few games i watched he was good, but dunno if he is consistent enough. He might be one to look after, if we are to risk it, but might be risk worth taking.

Inter need a top keeper to replace Handanovic. While I like Musso and Dragowski, neither of them is ready for Inter yet. Maybe Martinez from Aston Villa, very impressed with him since last season at Arsenal. He won't come cheap, but looks worth the money.

Martinez? Wtf man, Musso is significantly better.

If we're in the stop gap market, I'd rather get some Italian GK as we can include youngsters or garbage players. I don't view Musso as a stop gap option.

Either way, there is no need to shop around this season. Next season we may have to get a stop gap that could rotate and possibly start the following year. But there is no one out there worth it at the moment.
Donnarumma coming would be ideal at this point as he can more than serviceable and he's in a good age to sell somewhere else if he doesn't pan out. But I don't see him taking a Bosman.

If we're looking for a stop gap GK, Silvestri of Verona would be an interesting option.

Had him in mind. Another guy I mentioned a while back and got bashed for it iirc :D
But it was too early at that point. Now we're getting closer to this need. I still view Handanovic as a top 10 gk out there but he's not getting any better, while others are. We need a second choice that will be quite aggressively demanding playing time. Guys like Sepe, Silvestri, Sirigu, Consigli, Cragno, Gollini, Skorupski...

Someone who could start for top 6 Serie A clubs but not a world beater that you can rely for years to come. This is where we are now, unles we somehow land a top 5 gk - cannot see it - or a gk capable of becoming a legit top 5 in the next 2 seasons.
I'd rather get the cheapest possible GK from those I listed, or similar, and demote them to 2nd choice or use them ina deal with a top 10 club in Italy once we get someone who's able to fill in Handanovic.

I think Sirigu is the best choice here for a season. Contract expires in 2022 though, but Torino would gladly offload his contract and get some cheaper talent on, so a (loan) swap with Radu is possible.

If Lazio can get by and finish in CL spots while they are also in the top 16 with Strakosha, we can deal for a year with someone who's not the best in the world.

Currently warming the Bayern bench:

We could arrange a 2 year loan, bring him on board immediately. A bit raw but better than Radu.

The important thing here is to send off the fucking handanovic.

It's much better having a great team rather than a (pseudo in this case) great goalkeeper.

So try Radu and if he fits good, invest other money to improve other roles in the team.

Lol, having a good GK is crucial to a winning side, unless you have the best outfield team to compensate (even then great GK is greatly helpful).

What happened to that young goalie we were linked to that went to Real Madrid?

Lunin, he's the backup GK and he watches the games from the bench.
They loaned him last year somewhere, not sure if he played at all. I think to Oviedo.

Hopefully Cagliari offer us Cragno for Nainggolan in January.
