And that got us to 2nd in serie A (minus ninja). Now we are playing against a worst juve with a rookie coach. Yeah...I like our chances without any changes other than Hakimi tbh.

I believe we can keep Radja. We paid him almost fully last season already as we amortized his annual value and didn't get any loan fee + paid bigger part of his salary.

If this is indeed #wearesopoor stuff, keeping Radja is a no-brainer if no adequate deal for him arrives.

We're selling Brozo, and Rube might have a rookie coach but their team will be better than last season's if Suarez or Dzeko join

I am really hoping to stick with Radja, and I really think we have a good midfield... Barella is awesome and will be better with the experience he had, but I just hope Sensi stays injury free and Eriksen gets a fair shot

If we somehow end up with Vidal and Nainggolan, and not sell any of our midfielders barring Gags and Vecino, it would be a massive upgrade for us.

Dare I say, a midfield roster of Vidal, Nainggolan, Barella, Brozovic, Sensi, Eriksen is Scudetto material. Add another good option to this (Partey), and we really should move to a 4312.

LCM - Sensi/Eriksen/Nainggolan/Barella
RCM - Barella/Vidal/Brozovic
DM - Brozovic/Partey/Sensi

You're right Barella was ok as a regista in some games but personally i believe he's wasted in that position when he can be so much better as a box to box. I also wouldn't like to see Barella, Vidal and Nainggolan playing together. Not enough creativity imo.

Barella is not and will never be a DM and IMO should never be the fulcrum of the midfield. Maybe I'm old-fashioned or limited in my way of thinking but if you're playing a system where one player acts as the metronome, or focal point of midfield, he needs to be an outright DM like Busquets, or a DLP like Pirlo or Brozovic for us. For me, Barella is somewhere in between and is best utilised as such a two-way midfielder.

Mihajlovic once said that he wouldn't play football if there were no free kicks. I think Barella feels the same with yellow cards.

RE utilisation... he's gerat as a box to box midfielder, imho, and is a cog of a wider machine. He's not a playmaker imho, but he's a really good guy at getting us further up the field. You need someone who can make the play from deep, someone who can carry the ball up field, someone who can make play near the end of the pitch, and someone who can help you defend in midfield. That doesnt mean you need to have 4 MCs, to be clear. Barella is good at moving the ball forwards, getting better at creating play at the last part of the pitch.

I do start to wonder if a 4-3-1-2 and using very stamina based RB (Hakimi), and maybe Lautaro or Eriksen drifting wider is the right thing for us. I hate that formation though.

According to Dutch media Wijnaldum is getting close to a transfer to Barcelona but Inter could hijack the deal if it takes to long.

For me this makes no sense at all. He is a very good player but not the midfielder we are looking for.
