But would it be smart having 3 players (Lautaro, Correa and Thuram) fighting for 1 position? Thuram would make a lot of sense pre Correa but now? Not really. Unless Inzaghi intends to turn Lautaro into our main guy in attack. But this doesn't seem likely so far.Thuram basically would work as a Sanchez replacement and we'd still be going for a Scamacca type of player to rotate with Dzeko who won't be in a condition to be a main starter over the season, which he currently isn't anyway.
Not sure how I feel on Thuram, he's talented but I'm not sure if he's Inter material.
It won't be one position. Lautaro can play with both these guys. But would it be smart having 3 players (Lautaro, Correa and Thuram) fighting for 1 position? Ugh, the media man. Most interviews I’ve seen reported what I said, but who knows who is just reporting who without anybody quoting their source. Are you sure? I found this on Di Marzio website.

There's no way Martinez can play as a wingerI wish we would go back to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. That's basically one CB for a winger.
Correa, Thuram, Lautaro are suitable to play all of the 3.
I mean: Barella-Brozo and another midfielder. There's no way Martinez can play as a winger
Why does that guy Arthur Cabral so hot recently? He is a coming 24yo dude from rank 14th among the European leagues and suddenly he is a safer bet than Scamacca or Thuram?!?We need a goal scorer, Lautoro is not a 30+ goals (all comps) a season striker so he needs a partner to help with that. Thuram is good at many things but he's not a finisher (or a striker). Could be he has a Zapata-like "road to Damascus" moment and become a prolific goal scorer later on in his career but who here wants to pay 30M+ and wait 2/3 seasons for that to happen?
IMO put 10-15M into Arthur Cabral, a young, pacy striker with a beefy build and a good goal scoring record (swiss league and Europa). Get him now, let him back up Dzeko for the remainder of the season then reassess.
It's all about minimizing risk. Arthur Cabral is a minimal investment comparatively and we can atleast get our money back if he flops. If Scamacca and Thuram flop we either sell at a loss or we're stuck with them.
Dortmund bought Haaland for 20M+ from the Austrian league. Why does that guy Arthur Cabral so hot recently? He is a coming 24yo dude from rank 14th among the European leagues and suddenly he is a safer bet than Scamacca or Thuram?!?
15m for him aren't cheap at all.
Haaland was 20. And Cabral will be 24 at the time we buy him. Plus Austrian League is like 4,5 pos higher than the Swiss League.Dortmund bought Haaland for 20M+ from the Austrian league.
Point is Arthur Cabral (23, not 24) is the only available pure natural 9 we can afford. We can't afford Scammaca especially if he flops and Thuram is not a number 9. Julian Alvarez also is not a pure 9 and plays in Argentina but we want to throw 25M at him. If AC does flop he can be sold at a profit to any EPL club or Ligue 1, La Liga, BLiga etc, demand for pure #9 is so high right now. If we buy Scammaca for 40M and he flops no one will touch him at that price, we'd be stuck with him.
Fits Inter's mind to sharpen finishing attack than Luuk de Jong, but old, undisciplined, too big salary. Pass.
Poor form. Massive wages. Disciplinary problems wherever he goes. And he's leaving for AFCON very soon. There's nothing to like about a possible move for Aubameyang.
I was thinking we go for him over the winter when he's 23 doubt he'll be available in the summer. Would be good if he can learn a thing or two from Dzeko.Haaland was 20. And Cabral will be 24 at the time we buy him.
A year ago Swiss league was above the Austrian league. 3/4 years ago the swiss league had 5 teams (out of 10) in europe. These rankings are nonsensical for the most part, more of a guide than indicative of quality.Plus Austrian League is like 4,5 pos higher than the Swiss League.
EPL clubs and Barca are interested. I learned about him watching Europa CL games.I feel people are interested in that Cabral just because you watch Esposito and Cabral shows up.
Not sure about Undaz but Larsson is not a #9 and has scored zero, while Aye is a bench player in serie B.Like Deniz Undaz (Belgium League). Or Jordan Larsson (Russian League). Or even Florian Aye (Serie B) like how Milan "scouted" Lapadula.
Sure it's a gamble but show me a better natural #9 / goal scorer in our price range with resale value. Weghorst is anti-vax. Dembele fell off and doesn't press. Piatek lost all confidence, Isak (90M clause) is underwhelming / inconsistent with a good team attacking team, Schick is too timid. Watch Cabral in a Europa CL game (3rd goal vs Qarabag), players with that scoring instinct are few and far between,(not that I wanna buy them, just saying that this scouting approach is wrong and you end up gambling with <1% success rate)
Last season all of them scored more or less the same goals as Cabral in their league and the following season they flop. That's my point. Not sure about Undaz but Larsson is not a #9 and has scored zero, while Aye is a bench player in serie B.
All of them are better choices coz they are proven. Cabral is not. And Inter is not the right place, if not the worst, to explore hidden gems and prove players. If you aren't proven you are out, there's that simple rule here.Sure it's a gamble but show me a better natural #9 / goal scorer in our price range with resale value. Weghorst is anti-vax. Dembele fell off and doesn't press. Piatek lost all confidence, Isak (90M clause) is underwhelming / inconsistent with a good team attacking team, Schick is too timid. No. We are the worst in selling trash and you know it. We can't get a single penny for "bigger names" like Radja, Vecino, Gags, Mario, Dalbert; what makes you think we can sell a bag of chips for a flop from a random league?I'm not saying Cabral is a potential WC player, my point is 1) we need a strike partner for Lautoro 2) ta striker with resale value. If haller can flop and be sold for 20M+ we can def make a profit on Cabral if it doesn't work out.
Why are we discussing twitter posts now? Anyone can create a twitter account with Inter-esque name and spread fake news/quotes/misinterpretations.
OK WTF?! When was the last time our management confirmed we are working on a player that is under contract with another club?! This doesn`t make sense, could only drive the price up. Is this scare tactics directed at Sassuolo? 4D Chess indeed. Are you sure? I found this on Di Marzio website.

The Gladbach player i would love us to snatch is Neuhaus. Imagine him, Barella and Brozo in our midfield. Sadly he will probably end up at Bayern.I have already written it in the WhatsApp group, but apparently Thuram would be available for 15 millions (with some dealing the price could probably even drop more). He hasn't been in form after his injury, but so does the whole team (right now they are fighting against relegation. I would really like us seeing us snatching some of Borussia's players like him or Zakaria (DM) or Ginter (CB). The contracts of the latter two are running out so that would help our small budget.
Besides Thuram I'm kind of disappointing that there are no more rumours about Belotti, with his scoring and fighting abilities he would be a very nice addition, too.
