He does actually cover a position we need depth in though. What is this going to be our 4th year without a Brozovic back up? Tolisso in form could even be a starter over Brozo.

A player doesn't cover anything if he lies in hospital whenever we need him. One Sensi is more than enough.

Number wise yes we are. However Vecino, Sensi, Eriksen will mostly have injury problem and will miss a lot. I also think Vidal could be added to that list. This leaves us Brozovic, Gagliardini, Barella, Hakan.

Granted Tolisso is injury prone himself and not the right player for us, But we have to sign 2 more medfielders and try to offload our injury prone ones. I think Nandez + 1 more player would do.

we should have kept Joao. We are broke. Gave him for free, might get sued because of where he went and have no bench.

it's very frustrating that we cant find any buyer for one of Vecino and Gagliardini. this could potentially block the signing of Nandez. i believe that Marotta projetcs Nandez as back up for Brozovic. he would be a decent addition. his agility and determination would contribute to our gameplan which now seems to rely on midfield area. beside that, technically he is not bad at all.

Pretty sure he ll stay here as long as he s not cleared to play. If i remember correctly they said it will take a year till he can come back to action if he ever does. I doubt any deal will be made before we even know wether he can or cannot play on. Even more so since we re most likely currently not paying him any salary as FIfa or our Insurance should cover that. Yes we still have his ammo costs but those are CF neutral so we should not care to much.
Most teams dont have any incentive to come for him now as i assuming if you buy him now you ll have to cover his salary as insurance sure as hell wont pay and i d think that fifa also would not pay any more. So why should any buyer come and get him now pay his salary for 6-12 months without knowing if he can play again.

Yes he ll probably have to be sold as rules in italy wont allow him to play, but ATM it seems like him staying put is the best option for all parties involved.
