Yes they tried but failed at it… without consistent cashflow and artificial pumped sponsorship deals this sort of strategy will never work in the long run. The Newcastle, City and PSG are different as these are fundamentally state owned, so they can just draw out ridiculous sums.

We have a selected few private owned that managed to keep it going, but even here Abramovich eventually ran out and the question is how long Todd Boehly is going to last.

The problem with Sanchez is exactly he get all moody once he isn’t guaranteed a starting spot. I hope he has finally grown up, but I must admit I would really want too see it first.

Sanchez hopefully can accept he is rotational player first and foremost.
Anyone gets upset if you score 9 goals and 5 assists in 1300 min (1 goal/92 min) but they prefer the bad guy on the leash on top of you. Sanchez knew it was better and that's why he complained, with just reason.

Anyway, past history, if his numbers are repeated he must be the owner

Sanchez was unreliable, he had some amazing games and then went on to be largely invisible also some seem to forget when played he constantly ran into muscular injuries after he had that injury he suffered under his first season.

He has always been a moody player

Also he is most likely brought in as Martinez sub rather then a potential partner.

Doesn't matter. He is still better than Correa.

Where the fuck did milan get so much money. They spent alot this summer, reinvested everything from tonalli and added 50m more? We sold players for almost the same money but barelly invested half

As per reports Porto even refused 23mln from Inter. They deserve to lose him for free.

There's the impression for years that Milan don't spend money ever since Elliott takeover but this couldn't be further from the truth. They don't spend much on wages and they're trying to keep wage bill as low as possible. That's true. But in terms of transfer fees they spend money.

2018/19: 106m net spend
2019/20: 64m net spend
2020/21: -20m net spend
2021/22: 88m net spend
2022/23: 44m net spend
2023/24: 45m net spend (Taremi could take it to over 60m)

True but watch Porto will agree Milan 15m+ offer. After realizing that their initial demand was stupid (or, they thought Inter is that stupid, after the Mario blunder)

Same for Chelsea and Roma.

you sure? 20M seems cheap for a striker like Taremi in this market

20m for a player that have past 30 years of age, with no resale value, with our finances yes it’s bonkers.

Milan transfer market is possible because they don’t have the payroll of Inter and they don’t have high interest rates they need to finance annually.

Last term Inter payroll was about 133m vs Milan 93m that’s about 40m euros they can spend elsewhere.

There was a season where the difference was almost 70m, so the Milan ability on market can largely be explained on less payroll spending.

This season it’s about 107m vs 91m

This is the difference between running the club cleverly and with the head under your arm, at least we are starting to see the light.

For me it's more like that Portugal clubs used to get whatever they demand (mainly from EPL and PSG), and because of that they are kind of arrogant on the market.

And not mentioning wiping the debts of the club at some point (during these years).
