Scamacca for some kind of serious money is a big risk. Obligation conditions need to be something we can control or at least be certain that if conditions are met, it means he has done well enough that we are actually okay spending that money on him.

Yeah it doesn’t seem like West Ham is willing to do a big discount so it would way too risky to commit so much capital for him. Loan with option at like 25-30mil is fine for me. Not like we’d take it up anyway…

If David Moyes doesn’t rate Scamacca then West Ham has little choice. At the moment they probably hoping someone can guarantee something better than a loan. But come end of transfer window, he will probably leave.

Scamacca to me is still a replacement for Correa at best. I would not feel comfortable going into the season with Scamacca as the 2nd/3rd striker.

Just check Transfermarkt.de and I doubt that this site is 100% accurate. But still: According to them Scamacca missed 22 games and couldn't play from January to April:

Scamacca doesn't make me lose my mind in joy. His knee is a high risk and even the reported 20m is as well.
