Sucks that Vicario couldn't wait a little longer. Instead of being inters #1, he will be at fucking tottenham.

That's why timing is everything in calciomercato. You first secure your targets and then you have all the time to make the necessary sales. Even Thohir eventually got it. But the only thing Zhang gets is "one euro out, one euro in".

Generally agree but Vicario is not a good example. He's just a good but generic goal keeper, his only advantage to us is his Serie A experience. His characteristics are common for a goal keeper. Vicario does not has something special like Onana whom if you miss out on you will have to wait for years before another one with similar characteristics comes up again.

You guys talk so much about moving out of the comfort zone and do something creative? Isn't Trubin over Vicario exactly what you want no? And we did a good job locking down Frattesi too.

He might have heard about the Bremer/Dybala fiasco?

According to Le Repubblica, Atalanta would be willing to listen to offers for Carnesecchi. However, they would expect a fee of at least €18-20 million.
This is the advantage of being a financially healthy club - you can name the price and have the luxury to wait for the bite.

Read that Valencia wanted around 35M for the georgian keeper, so it`s easy to understand why the club is going after Trubin.

Yeah Vicario is good but how good is he really?
Just another name.

I don't think Montipó is far worse honestly.

I saw Carnesecchi only a game or two, hw was good, but I cannot make a judgement.
But if our guys at the club believe he could develop in a really good keeper like what we have over the years, 18-20€ is absolutely OK.

Exactly. We could spent some money on Vicario and Frattesi in advance, and the to focus on the sales, instead of that drama.

Youi lose negotiation power if you buy and then try to sell.
Imagine if you had bought already Vicario. How can you play tough with Man Utd then on Onana when is clear that you would be forced to sell him.

Calciomercato is a beautiful chess game with money involved. Sometimes you guys say some common sense and somehow wonder how the people responsible in the club haven't thought about them, clearly underestimating the reality

Same way Beppe bought Pjanic and Higuain first and then sold Pogba for 100m.

FFor those of you who keep up on GKS. Do you prefer VIcario or Trubin?

I have no idea who Trubin is...... don't think most of you did either.
we have played against him 3 times. And each time he was not easy to score against. I actually think he made his UCL debut against us at 18 y/o in the infamous 0-0 with Lukaku blocking the Sanchez winner

Edit: nvm we played him earlier in that campaign as well.

You probably haven't noticed but Trubin was Shakhtar's GK in all 4 3 games we played them in CL. His shot stopping was elite in all those 4 3 games. I've seen him play vs Real and he was elite as well. The sample size is small so can't say how consistent he is, but given his age, the potential is there and it's enormous.

Another thing we can notice from Trubin is he can play with his feet, he looks calm when being pressed, not Onana calm but more like Handa calm. Of course, sample size is small and can't say anything about his consistency. He's great at kicking, the technique is very solid and the power is amazing, he can ping the ball up 3/4 the length of the pitch with one step run up. The technique and the body language indicate that he knows exactly what he's doing when kicking the ball and not just yeeting it randomly ala De Gea. This attribute though, should not be subject to too much variability and inconsistency, we can expect him to be great at kicking from day 1.

Basically, great potential, no idea if he's ready for the step up though.
