CL final just confirmed the general concensus from the season about our midfield. When Hakan plays as a regista then he's at the top of his game, providing great performances. But when he's used as a LCM his performances are subpar at best. Mkhi is good in the role but he's 34. We need a midfielder who can at least give him a rest without losing too much in quality.

If we had money we could rotate between Hakan and Brozovic for regista and just sign a starting LCM. Having Brozovic/Hakan plus Mkhi as bench options would give us great depth. But we are broke. So selling Brozovic in order to raise funds for a new midfielder is a tough but necessary decision.

And what if, hypothetically, there where suitors for Hakan?

Brozo had a though season but is ‘only’ 31 and a true Interista. Are there clubs willing to pay something like 25 million for him?

Hakan is coming of the best season of his career and in his prime years. What if we can get something like 40-45 million for him. Should we do that instead of selling Brozo?

Offcourse it’s purely hypothetical. But for me it’s clear we have te sell one of them. As we also have Asllani and we need money to reinforce us.

Selling Brozovic will be a bitter pill for some. I have a love/hate relationship with this guy, sometimes within the span of 5 minutes when he's playing. Come to think of it have similar relationship issues with the rest of midfielders tbf. I guess selling him makes financial sense, wished Inter had played Allsani more so the decision would be on firner ground.

Getting linked with sms again from few sources, apparently inzaghi wants him and lotito is waiting for our offer.

Someone commented we should renew gaglia if we get sms, to keep sms sharp in the training and ahead of matches, and it made my morning

I guess this will be the least active position this year... We can all hope for SMS, but Pereyra is much more realistic... I am actually fine with that, as he is a much better player than Gags, just as long as we can improve our defense and attack.

Brozovic is a bit better defensively amd controls the tempo more, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make as hakan has become a complete midfielder. We've got the most out of brozovic while hakan isn't giving us his best at LCM.

Yeah we would change our style a bit without Brozo. I'm willing to do that switch, specially if it's for getting SMS. It's painful as Brozo is like a legend here. But if there is opening for doing this switcheroo (ie. someone is willing to buy Brozovic), let's go for it.

He is available for 35m, Brozovic could easily go for 30m to any midtable EPL club, maybe even Newcastle.

That's the quandary isn't? Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Guess, Inter could both up on the market and see which is the better deal.

Lotito Will sell SMS to higher bidder, people seems forget we deal with one of the most annoying man in Serie A . The question is can we competing with PSG or EPL clubs.

Even for free i don't believe he will come here, i am sure the other thing Marotta do will try to find free old midfielder like Mkhitaryan.

SMS is a wet dream signing, I just can’t let myself get hyped for signings of this quality as I just don’t think we have the budget.
