Casemiro getting a golden handshake at Man U :)

He makes too much money :)

Sell Hakan for 100m to the Saudis get him for free.

I don’t see another team with huge cash bringing Casemiro

Too old, wages too high

Barca broke
Real has moved on
PSG has that stud 17 year opd
City has better players
Bayern think has better players and will go younger

So us, Liverpool, Juve are the 3 main places he can land

Also I don't see any credible source saying he is getting a golden handshake. He has 2.5 years left on his deal.

Many words I'd use to describe the midfield. "Loaded" isn't one of them.
Yeah we have 4 players for 3 positions

We're loaded in defense, but attack and midfield we're very thin.

Not sure I agree.

In attack we are definitely thin in terms of bench options. We can’t give our opponents different looks. I don’t think Taremi will fix that, even though I like the signing. Signing Taremi would make Arnautovic pretty much irrelevant. We would have a difficult time unloading Arnautovic on favorable terms, but I would prefer we go for someone like Colpani who can take on defenders. Add Carboni’s characteristics into the mix if he’s ready, and I’m relatively satisfied.

In midfield, if we complete the Zielinski signing, I’d say we’re pretty friggen stacked with Zielinski, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mikhitaryan, Frattesi, and Asllani. That’s gotta be at least top 3 midfield in Europe. Asllani isn’t on the level of the others yet, but he does have quality and will mature (if the coach will actually give him some minutes). Ideally for me I’d rather have a more physical/ athletic style regista for particular situations to round out the midfield, but our current tactics don’t really make use of a DM anyway.

At wingback we are fine on the left. On the right we are definitely weak. Dumfries looks destined to be sold, Darmian doesn’t have much to give offensively as a wingback anymore, Buchanan is a complete punt and isn’t close to being ready according to our coach. I would like to see a competent signing here. But there is some rumbling of Zanotti returning and maybe he will surprise us.

In defense, yes we are stacked (as long as we don’t try to fuck up the formula).

Our most pressing need is our GK of the future. Seems like it is most likely Bento.

I asume Zielinski is totally done. So have him, Barella, Mikhi and Fratessi for 2 spots, that's loaded and not room for SMS, 3 years ago SMS would be a sure starter and one of the leaders of the team.

But I'm talking about tomorrow not next season :)

Without thinking too deeply about it, I have an impossible time believing that, tbh. That basically means a better midfield than every team in Europe except for Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Sounds about right.
