I also don't get what is all this fuzz about? In a perfect occasion we'd have sold Lautaro or Lukaku but since there is no real offer for the former and the will to stay of the latter, Hakimi is the person who should be sacrificed. For me he is less important than Skriniar or Bastoni. Based on pure potential, maybe he is above both of them but in reality he isn't. He had some outstanding performances last season but had some very poor games too. Skriniar and Bastoni were much more consistent and important figures during the whole season. Hakimi is not irreplaceable. We scored goals even with a guys like Candreva and Moses.

Yeah Hakimi could be sacrificed, but NOT NOW. If fifers are correct that there is no 30.06 deadline, just wait a couple of months more and P$G will reach our 80m asking price excluding bonus. Selling soon and discounting for them is stupid.

7-8th? Definitely not. We don't know how things are going to be under Inzaghi but under Conte Hakimi was the second most important player for our attacking game.
Sure on the offensive end, but on a whole: 1) lukaku 2) barella 3) devrij 4) Skrinair 5) Bastoni 6) Brozovic, in no particular order.

I think what's really bothering most of us is that we're out here looking a like a feeder club, and that pisses me off too but that's our reality and we have to move on. Again, if we can replace Hakimi with Lazzari + Kostic and then have Darmian + Lazzari as our RWB options, that's a definite W for us.

And no thanks to Lazzari. He only has speed and decent crossing. Shit in defence and even his finishing is nothing special.
But why does everyone have to be prime Maicon? Lazzari is a lazio level player and that's fine. And importantly he isn't injury prone. Or would you prefer can't dribble-can't pass-can't run-can't defend-can't attack-Meunier lol

They know we need to sell so not sure how this tactic would work.

Hakimi is already a world class player. Like said, RWB position is SCARCE. You don't find quality in that position too much. Hakimi is 22 years old, his trajectory is pointing to the moon. Despite what anyone says about his performances at Inter last season, we need to remember, it was his first season in Italy. And he produced such stats!

Of course it's a huge loss.

But, it's a good point if Inzaghi continues his style of focusing to the middle lanes instead of side lanes on the pitch. I think Lazzari won't cost us 20m€. Lotito needs to sell him because Sarri doesn't do anything with the player. I think we'll be slow with the replacement acquisition.

The fuzz is about value, age and potential. He is one of best RB is the world, already at 22yo with enough room to improve further. In a ideal situation we should have kept him for almost 10y.
I understand why we need to sell him, especially if no concrete offer for Lukaku or Lautaro. Or Skrniar, which I consider, he reached his peak and would be easier to replace than Hakimi.
Furthermore, our cash flow is shit. So I think one important aspect is the upfront money. That is another ace in the sleeve for PSG. They could tell: 80m with installments 16m/y over 5 years or 70m with 50m upfront?

Exactly. Selling players shouldn't be about how the player fits to your squad or how much/less we lose by selling him. It's about the market. It's about what the asset really is. And Hakimi is a HUGE asset.

Cashflow is indeed important in this deal and why it is done in the first place. It's reported we really like to do this before June 30th to include him to current fiscal year, while it's not required by anyone per se (unless there's some pressure by Oaktree).

Yeah we need to sell, but not necessary to them. And don't need to be Hakimi either, the Mercato just opens ffs.

Take our time and better offers (for any players) will come. PSG won't go anywhere, coz as I said, they can't find better player on the market either.

A WC player doesn't struggle badly and so often against mid-table teams.

Funny how quickly we forget, I keep hearing it was his first season in serie a but what about the UCL performances? I can comfortably say that Hakimi was better at Dortmund (thoughts Il Drago?) where he wasn't required to be on the ball as much, didn't have to dribble or cross, instead he could focus on his #1 strength which was off-the-ball running.

Because our game revolved around wing play. Candreva excelled on the right also. Stats aside Hakimis attacking play and decision making was often poor or disappointing. Again, Conte had him on the ball too much. Maybe Inzaghi would use him better.

Skriniar will fetch 50mln and Hakimi 70+mln. And how will be easier to replace Skriniar than Hakimi? Who you will get? Milenkovic? Still it's risky how he will gel with De Vrij and Bastoni and you have no guarantees here. I'm also not agree that Skrin has reached his peak.
Hakimi is not world class as he had many games when he was poor. He definitely has the potential to be a world class some day but still is off the mark.

Hakimi already decided he wanted only psg, I think even romano reported it the other day. He was probably ok I'll be your sacrificial lamb but on my terms, and I don't blame him tbh. Dude settled amazingly, had a great chemistry with his teammates, even gestured he wanted to stay, and we put him on auction just like that.

Not a clear yes or no.

In attack he was definitely better at Dortmund where he had the support of Sancho and he was provided with passes in open space and behind the defence. But at Inter when things weren't working from the middle we basically passed to Hakimi and we were expecting from him to create something. It wasn't always working and when he was having an off day the team looked poor and out of ideas. A prime example of that was the match at Udine. Hakimi was good in his first season at Inter but we didn't get the best out of his attacking game and there certainly was room for improvement.

On the other hand, he improved his defensive game a lot under Conte and his positioning had become sufficient for the wingback role while at Dortmund he looked clumsy and often was caught out of position.

Only having Hakimi on the pitch puts pressure on the opponent and they can't have attack on their left properly. Too much is left for Hakimi if opponent's left side starts attacking. And this only by having Hakimi there. His speed and acceleration are so immense.

Who of our players played well in UCL? We weren't ready as a team back then when we played those games, none of our players played particularly well. Conte improved Hakimi tremendously as a player.

I agree with 50m. And Milenkovjc would be one of the choices. Only my impression, but I think Milenkovic has more potential than Skrniar. Today maybe not at the same level as Skrniar as man to man defender, but he is faster and also more technical.
I believe Skrniar has reached his peak. With the ball, he is not comfortable, the technique quite mediocre. I don't see how he could improve these things.
For example Bastoni progressed a lot in a year, already more comfortable with the ball at his feet, better long range passing.

I like Skrniar, I would be happy to stay long time, if this is the decision. But if somehow we sell him to a PL team like Tottenham or Arsenal who need a CB and fetch 50m and then reinvest those 50m in one CB (Milenkovic or Tomiyasu) and an upgrade wingback or a midfielder, I won't complain.

I don't understand anything that's going on.
We apparently need to make €80m in this transfer market, so the obvious choice is to sell a promising (probably the best in his position player), who we agreed to buy for €45m only to have to take the ~€25m profit (or less) and purchase another player to replace either the RB or LB position so we are at a net 0 or loss. Meanwhile we have a striker that's valued higher, easier to replace and can basically be sold for profit, who is refusing to sign his extension...

This is the most rediculous nonsense I've ever heard with this club, and now there other other rumors that Skriniar is on the market as well as Inter contemplating swapping Bastoni for Alba...

Let's keep this thread for Hakimi please.

Also don't spread that Alba bullshit here, or anywhere.

Calm your titties!
Because we put thar release clause doesn't mean someone will pay it, when we need it. And frankly, Lautaro values is not near that clause.

Fabrizio Romano - Achraf Hakimi wants to join Paris Saint-Germain. He’s just waiting for PSG next steps - Inter are still waiting for Leonardo to send the new official bid around €70m expected in the next hours to complete the deal.

Not everyone has to be a ball playing defender. Skriniar stops the ball better than deVrij and Bastoni so gauging wether Skriniar has peaked simply by assessing his ball playing ability isn't fair.

To keep it more about Hakimi, there's a rumour that Inter is willing to accept 68m. What a joke if true, from 80m to 70m and to 68m. Seems like our management still bends over to everybody
