Yeah he can't creep into being selfish again. Anyways even today he still dig the right thing defensively, which is a great sign.

he didnt have any issue with mihajlovic, mihajlovic even clarified this. it was only that ljajic refused to sing the national anthem because of his religious beliefs. miha made it very clear he has no professional problems with ljajic. there were no unprofessional moments from him under montella either, thats not true. montella just got publicly upset in the media about his indecision to stay or leave. so 1 isolated incident under delio rossi.

Yeah but it was a beauty.

Not one of his best games obviously last night. I wouldn't say he had a bad game. He still worked hard and ran a lot, and was pretty much involved. But since we are used to seeing him bossing this season, he seemed kind of bad. But not a bad performance to me, just a mediocre one.

I think he's not a selfish player. I feel the thing with Ljajic is he only passes to a team mate if he feels his pass can surely reach the team mate. Otherwise, he would try to do some other stuff like dribbling or cutting inside to try making some space for a shot, which makes him look selfish and overdoing stuff at times. Last night, Icardi was tightly marked so perhaps Ljajic found it difficult to feed him an accurate pass that would not be intercepted by the opposition's defender. If he finds passing to a team mate is a better option than going for glory himself, he will make that pass (his assist to Icardi against Chievo, his assist to Palacio against Genoa but unfortunately that perfectly legit goal was incorrectly ruled offside). At least that is what I have seen from Ljajic so far this season.

Nothing to worry about though. We all know this kid is class and I'm optimistic that we will see many more of his 'A' games this season.

He works his socks off defensively which has been a huge surprise. I thought he was that typical lazy winger.

He wasn't too good against Udinese but I think he's a bit tired. It was great how we had other players step up.

He thinks he has something to prove to Garcia and maybe Mancini. We'll see what happens next year if Inter exercises the buy option.

If he doesn't perform good on 80% of the matches, send his ass back to Roma. He's good, but we can find better players out there. With him we at least have the option to send him back, so it should all depend on how he performs this season.

Name me 3 better options than him, also real ones.

And what in gods name happened with delio rossi? i remember back in the days it was rossi who said that adem offended his son who apparently is on a wheelchair or something, but adem said that wasnt the case, and othr players i think backed him up...

i dont think anyone holds him to fault about the delio rossi thing. clearly he said something, but delio rossi came out afterwards and claimed lots of stuff which all the players were like no wtf that's a fucking lie

there's a reason delio rossi was sacked and ljajic kept playing there for another season.

I see Ljajić in the same vein as Osvaldo. Clearly talented, but you never know what you'll get. While Osvaldo is borderline psycho, Ljajić is more on the I-don't-give-a-fuck side of things.

Better options than Ljajić were Insigne before Sarri came to Napoli, Salah (but Salah might be even worse than Ljajić when playing with Icardi and Jovetić, so fuck that) before he went to Roma... but what is done is done. I like him, I really do, but he's what I thought Shaqiri was. A quality bench player, I do not trust he'll be a world class player or anything like that. He's been very incosistent this season to me.

Being a bit harsh I think wera. Has he played well every game? No, but he barely played early on and has since then showed enough very strong performances to suggest he ll be a steal for 9mil(that is seriously nothing these days) unless his form totally falls off a cliff from here on it he has an 'osvaldo-icardi' moment - can't see it happening. And importantly he has not at all looked like he 'doesn't give a shit' while playing for us.

In fact I think the osvaldo conparison works against your main point; we'd have all wanted osvaldo for another season if he hadn't attacked his teammate. So long as ljajic isn't going retard on us the same goes for him - and he's younger.

wera, you mention 'world class' too often, there's only so many of them. It's unrealistic to wish our players to become world class and they are sure as hell not required to achieve one of the CL spots.

Well, if you hold Ljajic against such scrutiny then what can we say about Jovetic and Icardi then, both are much less influential than him so far this season. Don't forget dude is 24.

About his 'attitude' worries you're having - be worried if and when he does some stupid shit. I see he's working his ass off and actually cares about making a point here so I'm not worried at all.

I think that's stupid, to be honest. You make it sound like he has a career of doing this - like Osvaldo moving clubs every <1 season - not even close. He had one incident that I'm aware of ever, and has been sent off only ONCE in his whole career.

According to this article:

Just 116 days after joining Saints, Osvaldo was shipped off on loan to Juventus following a headbutt on club captain Jose Fonte.

He was their record signing so something clearly must have happened since he was thrown away 4 months later. Then there was the saga with him and Icardi here which made Mancini take the decision of letting him go a few weeks later.

He is a bit notorious for his primadonna attitude just like what has been reported about Ljajic when he was in Fiorentina and later in Roma which makes this comparison understandable.
