Adri eyes goals galore

Inter striker Adriano hopes to take his scoring back into double figures next season at the San Siro. “I want to return to being the Emperor.”

The Brazilian joined his teammates for pre-season training at their camp in Sardinia and makes no secret of the fact that he wants to make up for the last season’s disappointment.

“I feel well, I want to return to being the Emperor and to do this I need to work hard,” said Adriano.

“For the first time in four years I took some holiday, now I am ready to work and regain everyone’s trust,” added the 25-year-old.

“I don’t want to make any promises before the start of the championship, but I hope to make double figures next year, I really need it.”

Adriano was a reported target for Real Madrid and was also paired with city rivals Milan, but the player insists that the Nerazzurri are the only club he wants to play for.

“Milan and Real Madrid’s interest make me proud, but this is my second home after Brazil and I want to stay here for a long time,” he explained.

“I am happy when I am here and President Massimo Moratti holds me in high esteem. I had some bad moments in the past, but Inter have always stood by me,” ended Adriano.

For the people who believed that bullshit the media put out there about Adriano wanting to go to Milan...well now you know it's bullshit.

so where are the adriano haters?

There's no real Adriano haters. If he's willing to improve himself, I'm more willingly to support him. I'm sure it's the same for most Inter fans.

But, that doesn't make me believe he will return to his oldself.

Adriano will be a beast next season!

I think he will get 18 Serie A goals 8 Uefa Cl goals (as we will be winning it ) and 10 goals for Brasil (due to his good form he will be called back)

Adriano is serious this time and he knows its his last chance to prove himself or he will be shuned

I'm sorry are you actually a Milan fan in disguise hoping we buy Adriano? If so, you forgot to put again in the first bracket.

Seriously, concentrate on Serie A instead of dreaming about ECL.

Ibra on Adriano:

He hasn't played an official match yet, let alone score a farking goal, and you want me to start praising him again? I like the change in attitude so far, but it's gonna take a whole lot farking more than a week in training and an interview.

Quite well concluded. Adriano has spoked all kinds of things in the media all the time he's been at Inter. After the break in Brazil last season he said nice things and still he went to the disco etc etc. I stay in my opinion, that Brazilians (specially attacking players), when get some fame and stuff, will eventually become like Ronaldo and what Adriano is becoming. A clubber party boy, who enjoys his private life more than being a professional footballer.

If Adriano can stay out of the disco and train properly, I think he will have the chance to become again the mighty Imperatore. But he really must get his act together. And that means no drinking. Those players actually really train almost every day, and if there is a free day, is it worth using it with hangover day? Since at the hangover day a human shouldn't exercise at all. Let alone pro footballers, who shouldn't have those days at all.

btw, I've heard that one night on the down (aka drunk) cancels out 3-7 days of training.

Well, could be like that. I was pointing out just that. I was very, very generous towards Adriano, that his drinking would affect so little (one day) when in reality it could be something like you said, 3-7 days.
