I think Gomez would be absolutely unnecessary. I see no potential in him to ever become long-term starter for us. We should turn our attention to Gaston Ramirez.

Too expensive. His performance in London can just raise his price.

Question for you though, how do you know we didn't inquire about Lucas a week or two ago and when we heard the price, we stepped back, just to monitor the situation.

Just because the media reports it daily, does not make it so.
Again, my point is, why Lucas' name has been linked to us a lot more than any other names? It's strange isn't it if we are not pushing for him in reality but media keeps reporting all this for more than a year now? Of course I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, nor you.. But we are allowed to believe on it and comment on it right? Better don't discuss about transfer market if we aren't allowed to..

We don't want good, we don't have money for great, so that's why we end up with crap players :D

But seriously, if Lucas is unreachable, i would go for Ramirez and my third choice would be Gomez...He's similar to Zarate, only more a team player, so he would fit in well with strama's tactics i think...

Even if we get him in 8-10M it will be great buy.

Another average winger. Why we need him? Give a Biabiany year in Catania and he will be 8-10 milion player. We're forgeting how big flops Mancini and Quaresme were.

If we can't buy proper solution (Lucas, Gaston, Jovetić, Muniain) just live it like that. No need for new potential offloading material like Gomez, Giladino, Osvaldo ...

Mancini and Quaresma are not players to be compared to Gomez. They both were overpraised players. When Gomez isnt total unknown player but more like that. We are not Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manutd so our all signings cant be well known stars or huge prospects. We need to also find cheaper and more unknown players so we can stay in budget.

Udinese for example makes other serie a clubs look like idiots. If they can do it year after year after year then why cant we try copy something out of that.

I mentoined Mancini and Quaresma to show how hard is for wingers in Inter's phislosophy. And I agree that we need to find cheeper solutions but we allready have enough under 10 milions, cheap, unproven solutions.

Start with Nagatomo, Silvestre, Mudingayi, Palacio etc.

Now it's time for real transfer, for a player who can make a diference.

Yeah it would and we all probably are waiting that to happen. But our transfer budget is close to zero at this point. Now it depends how much money we can get out of Maicon, JC?, Castagnos and Pazzini. Even if we manage to find buyers to all but JC we wouldnt have that much money to spend so I dont think that any bigger signings going to happen.

IMO we need two players creative cm and "vice Milito" who could also play on the wing sometimes. So absolute max budget is about 10 for each and unfortunately I cant belive that we can get good deals for all those players. For example Maicon have been leaving us for 3 summers now and nothing have happened. As for Pazzini I believe that there is more to lose than is to gain. I can see him finding himself at juve again, leaving us an injured Quagliarella.

Sorry for off topic.

A winger who costs less than Ramirez but is better than Gomez...hmmm, surely such a thing doesn't exist?

Then again, there's this guy who plays in Ligue 1 in France, won't cost a stupid amount of money and has actually won something on this continent. Yes, he's not an unproven raw talent, he's actually got a major European league trophy in his cabinet. And he's the right side of his twenties!

Did everyone forget Younes Belhanda exists?

He is not a true winger. He is more a a junior Lavezzi. He will play wide like a winger but he will almost always attack the box. His best assets are speed and acceleration and his weakness is finishing. He is a much more direct attacker than some of the wingers Inter have dealt with in the past that like to dance on the ball or always play wide.

I've said, i think in this thread, when we were firstly linked with him, that he is younger Lavezzi. Exactly the same style, same strengths and weaknesses.

If that's true, signing him for 5-10m€ would be a great deal...
