I wanted to keep him at a lower salary but he's been off since that Liverpool game. I think his departure is better for both parties.

Wouldn't mind him staying on a two year extension at 4m per annum. Pretty much getting the same amount but spread over 2 years.
He wants to play to compete for titles, not that many teams out there are willing to pull the trigger. Unless he goes to Benfica/Porto type of teams, who can probably only pay him 3m net at this stage for a 2 year deal, so all he wins is 3m.

He has shown that he's not all about the money after that catastrophic Manchester affair.
Otherwise the options could be some shit PL club, MLS or the Arab world.

I could see him returning to River Plate or even Chile, but maybe not yet.

Inzaghi never thought highly of him and it was obvious the moment Correa returned from injury. He was always the last option. Even yesterday he preferred giving a Meazza farewell to freaking Caicedo instead of Sanchez who had given a lot to the club in the last 3 seasons. We have no choice but to offload him.

Yeah that was a bit fucked up. Sanchez deserved it way more obviously. Everytime he played he gave everything.
Caicedo, what a waste of money that was.

Inter forward Alexis Sanchez will leave this summer with Sevilla interested in his signing, according to reports in Italy.
The Chile international has been an important squad member since arriving in 2019 and scored the last-gasp winner in the Supercoppa triumph over Juventus.

But Tuttomercatoweb report he will depart San Siro in the summer with LaLiga side Sevilla keen on his signing.

Sorry to see him leave like this, like this player and I would have used him more often.

No, dybala is replacing him. Mc is replacing Vidal/Vecino.

Ahhh there it is!! The thing that completely drives me fucking insane!

You get what you pay for in the end and I know he’s on a lot of money but what he brings to the team is worth it IMO.

Probably never forgave him for the Liverpool red card. You know going down to 10 men is literally Inzaghi’s biggest fear.

On the other hand, I dont blame him for any particular moment, just that these moments have become too frequent. He always overcomplicates things, losses balls in dangerous positions, picks the wrong passes, etc... to the point that it's actually detrimental to the team when he's on the pitch.

He can still have moments of brilliance but they have become rarer and rarer, his body probably can't keep up anymore. He needs to leave.

I don’t think Sevilla would give him 1/3rd what we are paying him….

So not even asking him for 1/2 his contract 1 year and 1 year potential extension kind of sucks

Meaning, we'll handshake him and he'll sign with them for free?
probably yes. I just hope we dont have to pay too much for that handshake.
