Sanchez has a world of potential. He is another spark dribbling the ball that is desperately needed. Why we didn't take a Cassano is beyond me for the cheap money of bringing him in would of cost. Maybe it's because Branca and co feel that for many years to come Sanchez will be destroying defenses. What he lacks can be learned over time. He has speed and incredible dribbling techniques(control of the ball) that you have or you dont that can't be learned. He has big potential my problem is Obi potentially being included in a deal. From the little I saw of obi he looks like a young Edgar Davids he can be an great midfielder down the line. I guess in order to get something you have to give up something do it we need another spark to light a fire under this team.

It depends on the price. If the price is too much for Sanchez, I'd choose nobody obviously. It's not like Inter have shitloads of money and it doesn't affect anywhere how we use it.

He has a point though, people been bitching like hell lately about our lack of signings, and when there's actually a chance (a pretty remote one IMO) to sign someone decent, people still complain and wonder why we aren't going for such "realistic targets" as Tevez, Torres, Suarez, Kun, Neymar, Ganso etc.:rollani:

Sanchez is a good young player, the oppurtunity is there to get him before the EPL clubs come knocking in June and jack the price up even further, if Branca wants him (which he says he does) now is the time to make the deal.

Still my personal opinion is the chances of Sanchez coming to Inter now are very slim. I just can't see us spending what Udinese want, and likewise I can't see Udinese accepting what we are offereing.

Why is everyone complaining about the price?

It is not our money, so why should we care. And as if we would by players in relation of how much money we have. I don't think so. If Moratti wants to buy a player he buys him, if not we won't. Moratti will never pay more than HE wants to pay, regardless of how much money HE has.
Last summer we made a record income, but we didn't buy anyone cause he didn't want too. We bought Ibrahimovic out of nowhere for huge money cause he wanted. If there is a player he wants he is ready to pay money of an amount he thinks he is worth.

If he spends money on a player we think he is not worth to be at Inter we should all look first at ourself, as if we would be right everytime. Who would think players like Chuchu, Motta Maicon etc would be so important for our team that time we bought them. I for myself was against the signing of Cavani and now he rapes the Serie A. I was wrong. I think we should let the people judge who are in charge of it.

Quaresma is still in our heads, but this shouldn't stop us for taking risks in the future. On the other hand if RQ had turned out to be a star it would be no reason to pay big money for every young youtube wonder in the future.

I mean it is a forum, and we should discuss everything but sometimes I get the illusion that some people believe they would be more suited to be Inter's head than Moratti.

I too think Sanchez may be a risk, but he has the ability to rape every defence in Serie A including ours during the Mou time. This is an ability which is very rare and something quaresma, biabany lacks. Yesterday against Catania we would have needed a guy who can break such a wall of defense. His end product lacks but he can develop, and even more in a team like Inter.

Interesting post.

I don't agree with you on the money thing. IMO Inter don't have money so much they can do lot of wrong acquisitions. Specially now when FFP is getting close.

Cavani is a good point, I was against getting him too. But now he's really tearing it apart in Napoli, though that transfer happened way before we sold Balotelli. And also I must say that if we indeed get Sanchez, I think management has assessed the market and come to conclusion that he's the best we can get to fit to our squad.

I am with the decision to sign him IF Leo sees him fitting into his plans and tactics AND if we get him for a much less price than the 20-25 ml reported. He's young and still can learn and above all the only player Branca has mentioned beside this Ranocchia.

For me personally money is not an issue here!
If we really have to buy a player now, when the prices are higher, that is because of our inactivity in the summer, when we could've had more options to strenghten the squad.

I look at our squad and see that we are in need for a Left wing defender and a good player, similar to Motta for the midfield.
These are aquisitions that can be avoided for the time being and we can live without them for now, but when i look at our offensive line my head hurts.

We have Samu,Diego,Goran and Biabiany available for the offensive.
Two of those players, Pandev and Milito, are completely out of form. (although I have to admit that Pandev looked better in the last games)

The last one is a young player who still has time to develop, but his impact as of now is limited in this squad.

So practically, the entire season till now we were basing on one striker who performed consistently: Eto'o!
That is one in-form striker for a team who mostly played 4-2-3-1 till now, using sometimes three strikers at once!

That is very little IF we want to retain our glory won last year.
Even if we play 4-3-1-2 for most of our games from now on, we really need some alternatives on the bench who can allow the coach to change formations and play-styles ,based on the situation.
The Catania game was a good example of this!

Back to Sanchez, I have only seen him play against us two times and once at the World Cup.
He impressed on all those occasions, although that doesn't mean much, perhaps besides the fact that he has the capacity to play well in big matches.

About the money, as I said earlier, I just don't care.
Because it's not like we add 5 millions from here and buy Ganso outright.

The money we gained from last year were not reinvested in the squad till now, so we have no ideea how the money will be used till the summer.
Unfortunately all our financial talks are plain speculations.

Even if we would be granted that will spend the money neccesary for Sanchez in the summer, I would still go for him now.
Why? If we continue to win or at least put up a good fight we will gain attention and money, much more than by cutting cost on transfer fees.

In the football world today, winning generates money one way or the other, so transfering new players is also an investition from that point of view.

I think Sanchez has THE POTENTIAL to become a formidable player and an asset to this team NOW, he is far from a certainty, but we just have to take the risk.

If we don't invest now, I will see it as a sign that we are giving up the fight this season, as we would need a miracle to win this season on the long-term with the form of some of our players as of now.

I believe that one addition now, in the department we are lacking the most, can create a huge difference this season.

I don't know how the management feels, but I for one would not give up without a fight.
In that sense, I just don't care if we pay 10 or 20 millions for Sanchez or any other player who has the potential to make an impact for us now.

Even if he would turn out just like Quaresma, I would still risk it.
I would go all-in in this matter.

Its a stupid signing for numerous reasons.

First of all, its way too much cash for an offensive player who is so poor statisticly.

Second of all is that IF we sign Sanchez now, we can kiss good bye to any AM or second striker in the summer regardless of how Sanchez performs. If we go out and pay 20m€ for a player we will definitely give him more than 3½ months to prove himself before we even think about signing someone else. In short, we can kiss our hopes of some brazillian super talent signing good bye for good.

3rd of all and the most important is that its a stupid signing because he simply doesnt fit the team and he brings nothing we need. I read some people believes we need more creativity, well i got news for you, Sanchez is NOT a creative player in any way. Sanchez main and only real strenghs is his dribbling and speed to some degree, as far as creativity, vision and passing goes he is worse than Stankovic. He doesnt fit the 4312 formation either.

The only upsides are that he is young and if he fails we should be able to get atleast ½ the cash back and he probably wont get a very big contract to start with considering his age as well.

I don't want to argue with the people who think that Sanchez is not the right material for Inter or that his prize is too high. I just hope we buy him and i am sure he will prove his worth .

So... If we really do pay 25 mils for sanchez. That would be the biggest fee in the last 5-6 years no?

According to the price, he should be better than Ibra, Sneijder, Eto'o, Motta, Milito and so on?

Oh man, its a robbery, if we give that money we should call the police in Appiano

big contract to start with considering his age as well.

The only think I agree with you is his high price .But you will not get any better option in Jan for that money, you can bet on that. I will be with those who prefer Kun, Neymar,Teves or other already proven quality forward to come if they come now and for 20 mil, but that aint gona happend not now, and not in summer atleast not for 20 mil. Even in summer for those players we would pay doble what it is for Sanchez now. And its very oposite of what you are saying that bringing him would lowered the chances of getting talented youngster from Brazil.

First of all we will get the kind of player that you said we won't get in summer, couse Sanchez is SS or AM .Second I really don't see what is it with a Brazilian that we shouldn't sign? What makes you think that Brazilian youngster (Neymar or Ganso witch i like him verry much) won't be another Quaresma in Seria A.
At least Sanchez you can see his play in Seria A and is making very good progress. Statistics are bad from last year but they are verry much improven this year and they still are imroving. that doesn't tell you nothing to you. He won't be another Quaresma like everyone like to think of, he could bring another solutions to our atack , especialy when we are facing strong defence and be great assis to our forwards .

Another nonsense you make is about signing him will reduce our chances of signing another player (Brazilian) in summer. Buying Sanchez for 20 mil is much less for the price that we will pay for the players everybody here wishes to come to Inter. Kun,Teves, KAKA?? would cost much more than sanchez much more. Its more logical to say if we get one of those players we wont get anyone else in summer.
Either way if we buy Sanchez now, in the summer there is no reason stoping us of buying CM/AM (Ganso) in summer.

His high price is bit of a problem i agree with you all, but like Rain said and i compleatly agree with him, its not our problem to deside if MM wiling to pay,and there is very good reasons if he want him, and if he could get him i would be verry happy with his choice.

if he can brake any deffence by his driblings I can't care less about his vission and passings. And he pretty much can rape every deffence regerdless how good and organised is. And i don't like what you say about Deki and his passings, Deki has been playing in AM and doing verry good job recently , his assists was main reason why we won this last matches i would say he did better job then Sneijder did this season.
Back to Sanchez, i belive thats with the help of our staff and couhes he would improve his passings and shootings, he is just 22 for god sacke. The talent is there we should grab him and make a world class forward of him. I really have a felling that he will beacome that.

Im not sure i fully understand what you are writing since your english is very poor (no offense), but...

1. No his stastistics are NOT 'very much improven', thats complete nonsense.

2. Signing a forward for 20 million certainly does lower our chances of getting another quality AM or forward in the summer significantly, considering we have Sneijder and Coutinho as well and as i said, if the club takes out a big chunk of the budget now (20m€ is alot for Inter), they certainly wont sign anyone else for a starting role in that area regardles how Sanchez would perform in the last 3½ month of the this year, he will be given more time for sure before we reject him (unless he is as bad as RQ). Its a big investment for Inter to spend 20m€, we are not Madrid, Barca or Man City.

3. How will Sanchez be a 'big asset to our forwards'? It doesnt sound like you have ever seen him play at all tbh, Sanchez is NOT a creative player, i already wrote that in the last post. He can dribble, thats about it, he wastes so much possession and often goes invisible in games. He is not 'making very good progres' as you say, its simply not true, he hasnt performed anywhere near what should be required to justify a 20m transfer to a big club. Our starting 11 is among the oldest in europe and we will need plenty of upgrades over the next 2 years, wasting 20m€ could potentially be a big problem.

Also lol @ him breaking any defense with his dribblings, talk about an overstatement. But even if he could, what does it help if he cant pass or shoot to save his life...

Bottom line is, that with the FFP rule comming and the clubs financial situation we need to spend our money wisely on players with minimal risk and Sanchez certainly doesnt fit that description. Splashing 20m€ on Sanchez, who has a high chance of being a failure and really havent shown enough to justify such a transfer fee is simply not good business.

Madness ?! This is INTER ! :p

Moratti's last words right before he kicked Rafa out?

But on topic: I don't think we can have any clue at this stage what the price will be if he does indeed join us. All we know is the club is demanding $25mil, I highly doubt we'll pay that amount for Sanchez when we didn't even pay $25mil for Masch

25 Mil is just bordering world class, type of money. Ignoring Real and City's spending the majority of clubss would only spend 25 Mil on top, top players. When Eto'o came to us he was valued at 20 Mil by Barca. You think Sanchez is/has the potential to be better than Eto'o?

Anything under 10 Mil would be a yes but there are better options if we wait 'till Summer. With the FFP rule coming in, transfers will need to be thought out much more thoroughly.

thats why i said, according to the fee Udine wants, he should be better than Ibra, Eto, Sneijder, milito, motta and all the rest :p and i doubt he will ever be as good as eto, sneijder or ibra.
