??? You mean his first Inter goal was the half-way goal?

He scored 2 on his debut after subbing Ronaldo(who was also on his debut)

Not 100% sure, but I think it was his first goal something..:p

It wasnt from the half way line, it was AT least 25 meters in man. And yeah, im pretty sure it was his first goal. Both had their debut, but Recoba stole the show from Ronaldo.

Even got a shoe shining after the 2nd goal which won us the match.

But neither of them were half way goals.

I know, but sunny said it was his first. Which I was correcting. and btw, that was 5 meters in, not behind the line lol.

Who cares where Recoba goes? The one thing you can be sure of is that he will fail to live up to expectations and will be plagued with injury. Thankfully, he is no longer our problem.

Me and... and... Recoba himself. Have some respect for the dude, he spent nearly a decade in Inter, confessing he feels the black&blue shirt as his second skin. I hope he stays in Serie A.

He spent 10 years at Inter because he was handsomely paid and was required to give next to nothing in return. I do not think you should mistake and confuse a free ride with love for the club.

The sad truth of the matter is that most footballers love to play football where as Recoba enjoyed being well paid in exchange for very little in return apart from a few special occassions that we could count on our hands.

Nice work if you can find it.

Find me any interista who goes to Inter games on a regular basis, who would say that. From what I know you won't be able to do that.

Chino isn't someone who made this club the best, or who repaid this load of money MM put in him, but one thing cannot be taken from him, is that he was and he is a true interista.

Have you heard anything bad ABOUT THE CLUB, said by Recoba when he was at Torino?

Now what about Vieri, or Ronaldo. Can you say the same about them?

I guarantee, you won't hear anything bad from Chino about Inter for the rest of his life, and whenever he was asked about Inter, he always said that Inter is something special to him.

I don't really think Recoba enjoyed being injuried. He had a terrible body whcih wasn't made for sports, but that doesn't mean he injuried himself to sit on his ass and earn money.

He never complained but frankly had he been at Juve, sat injured all the while and got paid for it, he won't have said a word against them too. He never had the ambition and was satisfied with whatever happened.

We'll see, money grabbing mercenary cunt would have jumped at the chance to join the money heaven Qatar (as he was offered the chance), instead it looks like he wants to continue playing in Serie A and prove his skills (and try to stay injury free for once). And didn't he take a pay cut few years ago in order to stay?

Do you consider the Inter shirt to be your second skin?
"Yes, certainly, and I always do my best to show it even if I don't always manage. Sometimes I can't find the words to say what I would like to do for Inter, even without receiving anything in exchange. I hope I can manage to explain this feeling and be understood."

I haven't seen anything that indicates this.

He is an Interista. Period. There is no arguing that. In a money hungry world, he refused to take his wages when he was injured... that too when he was probably among the top 5 most paid in the world..

Definetely one of the most talented player in the world, but he was ruined by injuriesssssssss. Each s stands for 5 injuries...

He gave us some great moments...

I was definitely thinking of him when I read Mourinho's comment with regards to Arshavin.

"In Inter, we need a player who is consistent for the whole season, not just 3-5 matches."

:)

And regarding the argument whether he is an Interista or not, I have to say that he definitely is. Apart from a stupid contract incident in 1999 (Or 2000?) he has never had any problems with us and has always given his best. One difference you can notice with him is when we score, even though he was in a great position but did not receive a pass, he would still celebrate. This is something that we hardly see from our strikers nowadays, even from someone like Martins.

I think he like Vieri were part of the 2004/2005 squad which first began our series of trophies, and in my mind any of the squad members of the seasons since then should collectively be in La Grande Inter, but then we would include the people such as Choutos :D

Recoba Set For Brazilian Move?
Former Inter luxury Alvaro Recoba could be set to return to South America for the first time in 11 years, with reports in Italy and Brazil suggesting that he could move to Internacional.
