Crude analogy perhaps, but that's like saying getting out of bed is a really difficult obstacle because someone suffers from depression. It's not. Getting out of bed is not difficult. That person needs to treat their issues and increase their capabilities. Likewise, it's our own capability which is in question and disappointingly inconsistent - not the difficulty of the obstacles we face. Don't distort that distinction.

To say that we aren't better, especially on paper, than Gladbach, is just delusional.

I don't know, where that overestimation of Inter comes from. For me, we are still not a proven dominant serie A club, we are yet to reach that level. Had we been in the group of Lazio or Atalanta yeah, I'd consider us a firm second team in group.

There are lots of excuses can be listed in defense of Conte for exiting the CL too early, but if he doesn't win the serie A, he should go. But for winning the scudetto, he had to stick to his tactics, player selections and etc.

Look at our roster and strenght of our CL group.Best roster,only behind Real Madrid.And also best roster in Seria A,only Rube is superior.With that roster we must be proven dominant seria A club who must prevail group like that.But we didnt,why? Yeah no doubt we have much better playes than Gladbach, but they did have decend run at group stage and have a decend team. We didn`t get results what was needed, but yes we missed that one goal against Shaktar and get that goal and we would be at Gladbach place! But still big failure by Conte and Inter and a huge blow to our finance.

My opinion to Conte is starting to change and I have given him a chance and time, but now I would hesitate to give him any money in this window.

I was willing to give him a change after a decade of failure, but it seems this is the best he can get out of this team and I cant see couple of new players change anything? I still think we have a good team and some good assets to build on.

I would gladly replace Conte with Allegri/Tuchel or similar and that should be our next big transfer. I think someone like Allegri would do better with this squad and would not need that big investmenst to succeed!

I have no problem to admid if I have made wrong assumption of things, but I also dont want to blur my views of things with hate and I hope Inter do better in the future!

PS. I think I would sack Conte eaven if he somehow would win scudetto this season, cause overall this system is unbalanced and broken!

Being an Inter fan, it's very common that to cope with all the shit this club go through each year many fans tend to lower expectations, or make up reasons or find "logic" and excuses for some unexplainable and quastionable decisions, performances or results. This helps many fans no to go completely batshit crazy following this club by seeing the same shit every season.

But sometimes this very same thing reach to a point that some fans come up with absolute nonsensical reasons and excuses to justify the unjustified results. Making excuses for finishing last in such a poor CL group is a very good example of that.

In that group, Midtyjland (sorry for misspelling) is the sheer outsider unlike Shakhtar who is a proven CL/EL team. Ajax isn't as strong as it used to be a couple of years ago with all those talents they sold.
