The thing is Bayern reps are being quite reserved when discussing him, and that's something they're not known for. So I am slightly optimistic overall, but I think it's either that or the situation is just like the Malcom case whereas we go for the Barella if we hit a Vidal brick wall in negotiations.

Agree, if there is any possibility we actually can land Vidal we should do it in a heartbeat. Vidal is arguably one of the most complete midfielders and box to box in the world as of now and it isnt really a debate if we want him or not. (Besides the FM guys who literally think this is video game where its only cool to have only youngsters..) The question for me why im sceptic is wether its actually realistic we can get him.

Ask yourself this if you rather want Barella, do you also want CL money next year and better players next window and so on and on and on, you gotte spend money on sure things to be able to move to the next level and not only on potential and youngsters, for that to actually work and be the ideal situation you need the perfect mix betwen gritty quality veterans to form and shepperd the potential young talented players, if you want to be a club which brings results that is, unless you want us to become Roma who never wins a shit but always has flashy talented players you cant complain about us not winning things, you cant have it both ways.

He get's slower and that makes his aggressive style more dangerous (I think he made the most fouls and collected the most cards of any Bayern player despite missing a third of the season). Stop with the bullshit, Bayern fans currently rate him as their best midfielder together with Thiago. The reason they want to offload him is to give more playing time and develop Tolisso and Goretzka...2 players with ridiculous potential so it makes sense for them

Maybe compare Vidal to Gagliardini and Vecino which is what you actually have to do in this scenario. Regardless of his age, regardless if he is slowing down, he's still better than both those players which is what we need to achieve with our midfield signing. Bayern do consider him a player they can move on this summer as they have 10 players for 3 positions, but they still value him at €30m and won't budge on that valuation by the looks of it which shows they still do rate him and wouldnt exactly be heartbroken if he is still part of their squad when the season gets under way.

We need goals from the midfield. Nainggolan will provide some, but it's not enough. With Vidal, we would have enough quality, goals and assists from the midfield.

I am not a big fan of Vidal, but at least for one season, maybe two, he would provide what we need.

Unfortunately, if joao mario doesn't leave, it will be nearly impossible. And even if he does, it won't be easy because of the limitations in the UEFA lists.

What we would need is Bayern to do as a favour. We would have to be able to buy him with a 5-6 mln loan with right to redemption and a non written promise to Bayern that we will buy him next summer, for a fair price.

That's how far we can go, maybe kalle will give a hand?
