wow... you went to the game bro? saw the match on tv, n yeah the atmosphere seemed great. just wanna know about the red and white shirt, since so many supporters wear it, was it given freely?

unfortunately, i won't watch any games live at the stadium. some college stuffs keep me in bandung, although it is only two hour away from jakarta.

somehow, i promised my self to watch the final if indonesia make it, which is almost impossible. :p

Saudi - S Korea finished 1-1 and Saudi could have won it if Saad el Harthi would have been more composed. Malek Muath had a great game and was the cause of the PK, that player amazes me.

I have to say that it is a good result against a great team. However, since Harthi plays for Nassr which are Hilal's big rivals, I expect the media to take it hard on him and blame him which might start another internal fighting.

Mehdi, words have it that Montashri was not selected to the final squad because there was a fight on who should be the captain. They chose Yasser el Qahtani, he is a great player, but Montashri spent more years with the NT than him. Also, the media and the FA aren't keen on Montashri because he plays for Ittihad and he won the PFA when Sami el jaber was supposed to win it.

There might be some truth to that since the coach said his exclusion for Montashri wasn't technical. Also, he is the only defender that can play well left-footed.

very interesting to hear. I didn't believe that Montashari's exclusion had anything to do with his supposed injury, as he seemed fit in the previous games. But that makes sense..
Qahtani is from Al-Hilal if I'm not wrong, isn't he?

Anyway..good result for Saudi given the circumstances.

oman is not that good, the only one that is above average is the goalkeeper (Al Habsi of Bolton).

no, we bought that, of curz the unofficial one cuz the official costed higher than $10. The unofficial one only costed Rp 20000-45000 (based on the material, i paid 60k and got jacket and shirt, "mahasiswa" price, :p --4 other info, mahasiswa means university student--). The enthusiasm was high, a lot of supporters didnt get tickets and just watched outside the stadium (cuz they couldnt afford the expensive one)

haha, then i hope indonesia make it, cuz it'll be good for you (and me,he-he), what a dream.

Qahtani is from Al-Hilal if I'm not wrong, isn't he?

Yes he is, but he isn't Hilal born and bred, they bought him for Qadissia a couple of years ago.

And yes, good result, but the frustrating thing is that it could always be better if the non-soccer stuff stops.

Oman blew it and Qatar didn't do that well. Actually, that bodes well to Saudi, sometimes they fark up against easier gulf rivals since the latter consider beating Saudi like an achievement.

I see...

Your next two games are against Indonesia and Bahrein...although Indonesia looked quite strong, I think you should have no problems against them. I think in WCQ you beat them with 8-0 or something, but different times. Bahrein look really bad and you should beat them too..

in the next round, you should play either against Iran, China or Uzbekistan..
Iran-Saudi...now that would be a cracker already in quarterfinals.

Qatar-Vietnam was pretty entertaining...end to end action from the start.

and I didn't know Sebastian is a popular name in Qatar

Hamed..what does Quintana mean in arabic? Ana is I, quint?? quintme??

LOL, Quintana means mercenrary  Qatar does that regularly, they neutarlize all kind of athletes from all over the world, they once offered Ailton and Dede citizenships and 1M to help them go to the WC, but Fifa threatened sanctions.

But if you are serious about the question, Quint or Kint means 'was' when you used for first person, and yes ana means I, so Quintana means I was. LOL, now they can claim he is a Qatari and his dad called him Sebastian because he sympathizes with Basque.

Sebastian Quintana was an Uruguayan, Qatar has a lot of money to nationalize good players. Another country that has mercenaries is Singapore (but didnt qualified to Asian Cup 2007)

hehehehee...

I know about Ailton and Dede, they also wanted Valerien Ismael. Ismael would have been really interesting, because I think he is a jew. That would have made them a lot of friends..

I guess that's why they went for players from various youth teams and gave them citizenship, because they can do that. Incredible Qatar..

I was half serious about it...I thought that Quint or Kint should have a meaning, good to know...he might be Arab after all.
