My criteria for the next coach is someone who is VAGUELY on point for our current squad. Someone who is willing to play some kind of 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 4-4-2 is fine. No 5 at the back, no 3 at the back, and I'm pretty much good.

Firing Mancini was the right decision. The timing was bad, granted, but that still doesn't mean that we weren't a sinking ship that he both
a) created.
b) couldn't stop from sinking.

Hiring de Boer, I've always said, was the wrong decision, for a number of reasons.

That doesn't mean Mancini was the right man. Far from it.

It's not about being an 'armchair manager'. I'm not qualified, nor are ANY OF YOU, to assess who should be our next manager. Even more importantly, none of us have any fucking IMPACT on who that might be.

The last 4 or 5 managers we've hired were not the ones I would most likely have suggested at the time, and in many cases, they weren't necessarily the OBVIOUS hires either.

So, yeah, I'm not gonna sit here and discuss managers. I have (reasonably unobtainable) people I would like to bring in, but that's not how hiring a new manager works.

I mean who fucking knows, maybe the board will develop a fetish for AVB. Maybe Huddink would be up for it. Who knows. But its not our job, you nor me, to suggest who might be the one to replace the manager. We can, however, suggest it's time for our current useless manager to fuck off.
