Yeah I see the same IP being re-used by different people very frequently in one of my businesses. It can be shared at the same time by two random people, or it's the same IP used again by different people, at different times.

Never really bothered to look into it since that's not the main flag we're looking for, it's just something I noticed happening all over again.

But as @.h. says the likelihood of this happening in a separate country is low. The IP route to a physical server and if it's the same, you'd expect it to be in the same place as well give or take.

I'm gonna have a chat tomorrow with some of my servers guys due to the Equinix call by Hindenburg*, and I'm curious to find the reason, though it's going to be very low on the agenda :D

In our modern world it’s not that simple, while you are right in regards that any given company/provider/site buying blocks our world means we are moving far more around not just accessing from one location.

I accessed this site from several countries, several locations also where I live.

We run out of IPv4, some their blocks are to small so dozen of people need to use same IP.

Also neither you and I know if he has moved to another country and might have moved here or frequent it, there tons of plausible explanations.

One thing for sure we ain’t the same, I don’t even know the lad…

Also you can theoretically use a provider and buy country specific IP, there VPN that offers that.
That's the point though..if you're consistently showing the same IP that's suspicious. If it was a one off or two off you might dismiss it as chance.

So the possibility of Gal being Besnik's dual personality is still on the table?

Oh what the fuck :D

I have no idea what happened but since my IP address is same as Gal's, then I'd have to say that I have been living in Denmark for 7 years now.

Most of times I browse forum through my work's PC, and sometimes through my wife's MacBook at home (and of course sometimes through my phone's web browser). Also regarding timing of logged period, I work at day/night shifts depending on my calendar.

And as for instance, I don't know Gal. I mean, there are a few danes in the forum, but we've never had such a case before. Weird how ban happened

Btw case we had last month suddenly auto switched a server's IP to another one.
But it was connected to it as a failover (different data center in other side of the world)
It caused all kinds of troubles. It was some setting on the server side that should have been disabled.

Maybe something similar happened here at a larger scale.

Honestly they'll probably just be living on the same street with the same ISP or if using mobile connecting to the same cell towers or something. At least it makes more sense now we know they live in the same country.

We only have 3 cell phone infrastructure providers (all others use their infrastructure) so I think this is actually the most likely explanation

Well could also potentially be living on the same street…. But probably less likely
It'll be like local mast though. The only logical explanation is that you guys love very very close to each other imho
