Bologna are away to Cagliari today. We'll definitely be the more well-rested team. I would expect Biraghi and Bastoni to start ahead of the critical Dortmund fixture.

I hope Bologna get knackered in their game today either tiredness, injury or suspensions cuz this has a loss written all over it for the following reasons.
1- tiredness
2- second away game in a row before big away game in dortmund
3- minds will be On Dortmund

I hope I’m wrong

They have Mihajlovic for a coach. He would lose 10-0 to Cagliari with resting every possible player just to give 100% against Inter on Saturday.

Before this match, heavily cursed by the former player voodoo, let's take a stroll down memory lane and have a look at all the potential MOTM candidates on Bologna's team:

Sinisa Mihajlovic - best friend of Mancini and loved scoring free kicks against Roma. Sadly suffering from Leukemia of course, his team will fight tooth-and-nail for him as they have done all season. Potential tactical masterclass on Saturday

Gary Medel - back from Turkey with a vengeance (and 95% passing rate). Will happily spill blood on the pitch, and not necessarily his. Is recovering from injury but I'm sure the chance to put in a Makelele x Cambiasso x Kante performance against his former club will give his white blood cells an accelerated healing boost

Ibrahima Mbaye - youth prodigy, walking red card, winner of the inaugural Next Gen Tournament under Stramaccioni. Potentially important player on Saturday (for us)

Andrea Poli - captain of Bologna and future Italy and Inter midfield general. (Hot sister)

Mattia Destro - the new Acquafresca and vice-Milito. Also struggling with injury but will probably celebrate like a madman and take his shirt off after scoring a tap-in, revealing his soft, flabby belly

Rodrigo Palacio - Il Trenza. The greatest jinx/threat to our team since Balotelli last night. 5 wonderful years (really only 1.5 good years though) as a great servant to the club during dark times

(bonus - Saphir Taider is still technically a Bologna player though (and future great Inter midfield all-rounder prospect), on loan at Montreal in the MLS
- Sansone and Soriano never played for us of course, but were very heavily linked to us a few years back)

... did I miss anyone?

Sabatini is their technical director.

One of their fitness coaches also used to work for us (Marchesi).

Senssi will get some half hour and Vecino could be back too i think... Conte can't anyway play with the same 11 from yesterday.

Mbaye had been crucial for us two years ago. I still remember the game. It was a typical awful away Inter game. Bologna had taken the lead with a great Verdi goal and they were impressive in that match. We had hardly made any chances in the game but thankfully we won a penalty out of the blue after a clumsy Mbaye challenge which gave us an undeserved draw.

Speaking of Destro, once upon a time he was dubbed the new Bobo Vieri

Biraghi, Lazaro, Bastoni, Politano, Esposito, Ranocchia, Vecino should all be in the mix to start or make an appearance for this one.

No, I'd prefer we just tough it out for the next two matches. Minimal rotation for Bologna (it's an away game and they're much better than Brescia), maybe just Biraghi and Bastoni. Then the full strength team against Dortmund, and then we can rotate a bit more at home against Verona.

My problem with that is if the full strength team is played against Dortmund, Parma, Brescia, and again against Bologna, by the time they're playing Dortmund again they'll be so worn out they won't really be at a 'full strength' level of quality anymore.

Federico Santander dominated our backline last year which was the main reason for signing Godin. Need 3 bodies on that fucker.

There was also the time he decided to absolutely clatter into Rafinha at the halfway line after already being booked for arguing with the ref and proceeding to get a second yellow, which should have been a straight red.

Look at how many ex-Inter at Bologna.
The match seems like an anime or movie where a new reinvigorated man decides to step up and he must fight his older self to break himself from the chain of past in order to march forward.
