I've been hearing alot about this guy who plays for Porto lately and I just wanted to know if he really is owned by Inter, and therefore will he be playing for us soon?

This is just freaking silly, how can nobody know anything sure about this guy. Maybe it just means that we don´t actually own him. Porto was smarter than we....??????

If you search enough on google.com, you do come up with news about Inter loaning him to Porto. I do have my doubts though, during an Interview he talked about how happy he is to have signed a long term contract with Porto.

I sorta doubt that we still own him though if we do he could be a great talent in the future, though he is definately a diver

I wasn't impress by him last night. At the second half, he was nothing but a mere spectator IMO. ;)

FC Porto Sign Carlos Alberto From Fluminense

Carlos Alberto is off to Porto
01/06/2004. FC Porto has agreed to terms with Fluminense's young midfielder Carlos Alberto.

Reports out of Portugal are suggesting that the 19 year old has signed on for 4 seasons with the Portuguese giants.

PSG and AC Milan had shown interest in the creative midfielder, but it was FC Porto who followed through.

This is Porto's second signing since the re-opening of the transfer market, as they also secured Leiria's Brazilian striker Maciel.

FC Porto To Sign Carlos Alberto From Fluminense

01/02/2004. FC Porto have agreed to a transfer fee with Brazilian side Fluminense for the services of 19-year-old midfielder Carlos Alberto.

Carlos Alberto is already in Portugal negotiating a contract with Porto and will be presented by the club this weekend.

He is optimistic that a deal can be reached.

"FC Porto is a big club and it would be a dream come true to play for them," he said.

He will likely sign a two year deal.

AC Milan showed interest in the midfield star in the past, but it appears he will be joining Porto

Good. :D C'mon!!! It's not as if he's Deco or Costinha. I don't think he was that good. He was nothing special!!! ;) And we already have Recoba in his position. I'll be damned if we ever sign him. :D:D:D

Carlos Alberto isn't a striker but more of a playmaker. He was bought when Derlei was out for 5 months or so and he had to play a striker with Benny McCarthy. I still am confused about his situation and it could be that we signed another Carlos Alberto since it's a common name in Brazil. If he straighten his act and plays well, maybe we can sign him as a playmaker in 4-5 years.

Its definately looking like he isn't Inter's player. What a shame. Though even so there is tons of talent out there so sign someone else and loan them out.

No, I don't think he's a playmaker. :) Porto's playmaker is Deco and it's very hard to find a team that used 2 playmakers and Porto isn't IMO. Carlos Alberto is always found on the left. I think he's playing the flanked forward position to support either Derlei or Benny McCarthy. :)
