Very true, Oba celebrates with the somersaults and he is not cocky, but I think I saw and heard the announcers say that Carlos Alberto mainly played for himself out on the pitch wednesday.

Well I watched the match and he is one of them players that can run at players, and he nearly scored early on as he skipped past 4 players.Btw it was also cruel by the referee to book him just for Carlos Alberto taking off his shirt during his celebration!

Why is it cruel when the rules say that you get a yellow card for removing your shirt from your body???

It wasn´t cruel by the ref. He has to do what UEFA tells him. But it´s f-ing insane by UEFA. They are f-ing ruining football. UEFA wants football to be neight boys with familys on the stands eating cookies and drinking coffe. God damn it. It´s not allowed to show feelings? As long as you don´t rub your shirt on the opponents fans faces, I see no problem. The hell with UEFA.

Anyway, Carlos Alberto wasn´t good at all in the final, but he scored a goal. The previous matches in Champions League he has been genious at times. Look at the game against Manchester United. He simply f-ed them up if I could say it.

Inter sign new Carlos Alberto

INTER Milan have succeeded in capturing the prosperous Fluminese midfielder Carlos Alberto on a five-year pre-contract agreement.

It has been widely reported across the Brazilian media that Carlos Alberto, who shares his name with the 1970 Brazil World Cup winning skipper, will move to Europe next year, although not initially to Italy.

Instead, Inter will farm the youngster out on loan to Porto for his first season before assessing his adjustment to European football and the possibility of him adapting to Serie A.

If successful, the 19-year-old will join Inter for the start of the 2005/06 season, by which time he is tipped to be a full international for his country

Agree. The UEFA/FIFA president must not have scored an official goal before. You don't know who you are after you score. You don't know what you do. It's all just pure instinct. Which is why it is BS to get booked for just taking off your shirt. If I were a football player, I'd say f*ck the rules and I'll celebrate my way!!!

Btw, lately I've been dreaming of playing at a large away crowd who boo-s me all the time, scoring against them and celebrate Vieri style. :D The one where he put his finger to his mouth, asking them to shut the hell up and put both of his hand behind his ears to hear the silence. :proud: That was one hell of a classic celebration!!!

Now how the heck can we verify whether this guy is ours or not?? I hear news saying he is porto's and some that say he's ours. Why can't inter.it have a list of the players that we own and we loan outside. :fero:

I really don't get you guys. What the hell is so good about Carlos Alberto and why do we ever ever ever need him for??? Just because he plays for Porto, the European Champions, and score a goal in the final, doesn't mean that he's a good player!!! And besides, the official website never say a thing so it's probably just some silly rumour that we own him. Remember the Chivu case when he's supposedly 99% ours??? Or the Horacio Peralta case, where the hell is he???

We don't need him and the official website never mention a thing and he's not a proven good player yet so stop hoping!!! :D:)

Well for once he has the technical qualities on level with Ronaldinho. ;) Plus scoring goals in CL is good. He is still relatively young so I say we keep him in Porto for one more season. Then we can discuss buying him next summer.

I am really hoping those are sarcastic remarks. ;)

No, but because he was good in other Champions League games makes him a good player! :fero: ;)

IMHO Carlos Alberto was one of the profiles of this CL campaign. He can become very good.

Han, Have you seen Carlos Alberto play regularly? I've seen him play like 5-6 games and i was really impressed by his play and less so by his character, but he is still young. He is a perfect playmaker that can dribble deep inside or drift to a wing and cross. Trust me, if he keeps play like the way he does and barring injuries he'd be a superstar.

Not regularly, just in the CL in the matches against Depor and Monaco, so that makes it just 3 times. :D But I wasn't impressed by him at all. The biggest reason why I don't want him is because we have sufficient talent up front. Eliakwu has taken the Primavera world by storm and I'd rather give him a place in the line-up rather than Carlos Alberto. If we treat Eliakwu the way we treat Martins in 02/03, there is no need to get Carlos Alberto. ;)

Adriano
Recoba
Eliakwu
Martins
Vieri ???
VDM ???

More than enough. ;) And I didn't even include Cruz and Kallon!!!
