I don't agree about using youngsters and backups in CL matches. For me, it's a matter of pride. I'd love to get 4 points out of the 2 games against Valencia, and to stay unbeaten in the 1st phase.

If we've got first place secure, don't you think it's better to play it safe and keep most of our key starters resting and have no stress of fatigue or injuries in the back of our mind?

In football you've got to use your brain. These guys aren't machines, they are humans. We are trying to get the most pts as soon as possible to have a couple of weeks to fully focus on Calcio only.

If you mean using youngsters after securing the 1st place, I agree. But for the 2 games against Valencia I would play the best team possible.

we play in three different competitions while our youngsters and backups dont get much playing time and also we saw the tiredness in the likes of adriano, veron and stankovic.....

we always think ur youngsters are great and needs to be given a chance..

I think if we plays the game carefully, even with youngsters we can still match up valencia...

Perhaps the most anticipated match of the first round? For me it is, by far. AC Milan - FC Barcelona, 2 of the in-form team in football this year. What a gigantic clash this is gonna be. But unsurprisingly, I will only get a delayed telecast because they are showing some EPL's clubs game.:rollani:

Visca El Barca! Xavi shall teach Andria Pearlo some lesson about playmaking from deep. Ronaldinho will dance around G@ytusso and Caf*ck. E'Too will put the nail in the coffin on Merdani's supposedly illustrious career. These, all before the finishing touch when Adriano will stamp authority all over them in 27 October. Visca El Barca. VISCA EL BARCA!

Notice that the Serie A - La Liga rivalry will be taken to a whole different level since Champion Valencia will be visited by none other than us. Forza ragazzi! Forza Inter!

What are you complaining about? ESPN in the United States will be showing Real Madrid because the only player most yanks know besides Ronaldo is Beckham. That's every single Madrid game from the CL so far, and we only get 1 game a week. Can it get any worst? not at all.

Btw, the derby is on the 24th of October. ;)

Yeah, pardon me, typo. ;) To be honest, I'm not sure if I will watch it (The Derby) or not. The pain I got when I saw our teams took the Derby as if it was some chicken $hit and lost 3-1 in the first meeting of last season was just too unbearable and still live a painful scar somewhere in my heart.

Although the joy I got when Vieri tapped the ball in from Ventola's cross in 01/02 was totally unforgettable either. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Anyway, sorry for going too off topic...

Great performance by us :star:

Shame about the Barca result, it seems like they played quite well but couldn’t get the important goal. I hope that they can beat Milan at home by more than one goal as this may come in useful when deciding who tops the group.

we need one more tie against valencia or any other team or at least we dont lose more than 3-0.. against valencia..

valencia can reach maximum 10 points if we tie them... and we got the advantage of scoring more goals against them... away..

after tying/winning against valencia, we should really test out the players like karagounis, cruz and pasquale...

is valencia our next game, then we should field in our best players in that game, after that we can relax and concentrate on serie a.. for a while..

adriano now scores 7 goals in champion leagues (3 in qualification stage)..
does UEFA considers all his 7 goals or only the 4 goals he scored in group stage ?

No they are supposed to count the ones before in the qualification round. They always do that.
