Champions League March 23rd and 24th

Well in the previous 3 meeting Arsenal won each...many times because of goalkeeper or defence big mistakes....

Anyways this time Chelsea have Duff which many think will be key to a successful Chelsea as he never played in those three meetings.And if u got Duff and Crespo playing that would be great for Chelsea although i am not sure if Crespo is starting.

Well first half is over nothing special from Chelsea...Crespo should always be on when Duff is.

Is Crespo on the bench? I thought he's injured. Valdanito in as soon as possible, dammit.

It was quite good football although there were real scoring opportunities just few. The attacking formula of Arsenal didn't work because Pires and especially Ljungberg sucked. Also Henry was surprisingly weak in the first half. For his excuse have to say that he didn't get that much support.

Like I said the attack of Arsenal didn't work but have to give some credit for CFC defense too. Expect the first minutes it looked very good. Also Makelele played very well on the midfield.

FT 1-1

CFC got a totally free goal given by Jens Lehmann. Great shoot from bad balance and small angle by Gudjohnssen but Lehmann's complete mistake.

Pires did a great run forwad, got Cole's perfect cross and headed the ball to the net. Hope our midfielders could do as great offensive runs as Pires did sometimes too. Expect the goal Pires was a big dispoinment to me. Same goes for Henry too.

i agree with u..But the second half by Chelsea especially the minutes after the goal were wonderful...This is still in their hands a 1-0 @ Arsenal will do

Gudjonson scored a marvellous goal. His persistent paid off and the angle was tight but he still scored. Chelsea's fault was to advance forward after scoring instead of closing down the spaces and absorb the pressure. But that's expected from a newly assembled team. Scott Parker was really bad and he needs more european experience before playing these kinds of games. Arsenal didn't play well but still managed to achieve a good result, they are starting to be a great team.

By the way Real beat Monaco 4-2. Again Monaco scored first but like yesterday the evil teams came back big time.
