Javier Zanetti,
We just need fast player upfront to do the counters like Eto'o and Balotelli for example, and a lot of concentration in defence or else we will make tons of errors and concede spaces for our opponents to score. Everybody knows that we can't give any space to Drogba. He will use any small chance and converts it because he is really good at finishing. Let us just hope Chelsea have a bad day.

Anyway, with Hilario between the posts, we can score from the halfway line or maybe be JC can score with his eyes closed. That guy is so hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!

We all have to expect Chelsea to score 1 at least... We need to attack and get that away goal back... My prediction is a 1 all draw. Inter go through... Just.

We need to score once. It would instill confidence in our team even if they lead or throw everything at us.

I disagree with all this "bad form" business. I find that when two top teams meet, bad form means sweet fuck all.

We thrashed Milan after a draw with Bari and a poor preseason
We beat Milan again with 9-10 men after the were on a hot streak
We beat Chelsea after 3 draws
Barca thrashed Madrid 2-6 after Madrid was unbeaten for 17 games or something...just to name a few examples

First goal will be decisive. If Chelsea score, i'm afraid we may shit ourselves and they can feel comfortable with the lead. Pressure is on us.

If we could score first, that means 90 % through for me. we would be calm and play much smarter (as we had seen at Meazza) pressure is on Chelsea totally, and we would have much area to counter.

Interesting tactics from mou:

Report: Inter To Delay Trip To London Ahead Of Chelsea Clash

Mourinho has ordered a break with tradition…

By Vince Masiello

Mar 2, 2010 11:41:00 AM

Serie A champions Inter will travel to England just 24 hours prior to their crucial Champions League last 16 second leg clash with Chelsea on March 16, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.

Nerazzurri boss Jose Mourinho has in fact decided to do without the ritual pre-game training session at the venue of the host side.

It is the first time that Inter have opted for such a move ahead of a Champions League game, with the Portuguese evidently aiming to keep his cards close to his chest.

The ex-Chelsea manager will then make his hotly-anticipated return to Stamford Bridge only on the night of the match.

Inter will have to defend a narrow 2-1 lead from the first leg to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition.

LOL what is the benefit of that? No training on the opponents pitch at all, hmm. Having as little hassle and disturbance around the team as possible? Nothing to show to reporters/Chelsea affiliates before the match? I mean he can order the trainings to be closed after 15mins but surely there are someone spying.

Your lack of faith in Inter, its players, coach actions is astonishing. You almost all the time assuming the worst, and when there is media vs Inter (players/coach/staff) battle, you pretty much all the time stick with the non-Inter side when some roumors/reports are coming into light.

Your negativity is spreading like a cancer.

You think Jose is doing it to hurt a team ? Just because we don't know what advantage it brings, or that we can't figure out one doesn't mean there isn't one.

Don't forget Mou knows Chelsea inside out

He must do this for a reason.

The other approach hasn't worked for us in the past. Lets see what happens. Its unorthodox but it may work.

What the fuck is your problem? Your lack of understanding anything is spreading like cancer.

If you had actually read my post, you would have noticed I first questioned that decision and then brought up some reasons for why Mourinho might have came to that decision (if that's what is going to happen).

Seriously, try to read my whole posts and not a fucking first sentence.

It all depends on us getting the away goal. If we can get it early we are through.

With regards to this thing with the travelling, hopefully Mourinho has something birlliant up his sleeve and doesn't want to give anyone any chance to see it.;)

People should stop caring if Hilario or Cech or Essien or Bossingwa will be the GK. They could be missing half their team with no goalie and we may still lose. Seems like the Barca game is long forgotten: they were missing many important players and still schooled us.

So focus on our team and stop looking too much into who's playing and who isn't.

They were missing important players??? We didn't have Sneijder. Barcelona have the quality to fill in for Messi and Ibrahimovic, but our midfield without Sneijder gets us exactly what we saw against Barcelona, nothing!

I know we shouldn't care about who is on the field in 2 weeks, but you cannot deny that seeing Hilario, Malouda, Ivanovic, Mikel would be better than seeing Cech, Cole, Bosingwa, Essien....

In normal circumstance yes, but not with us. We let mediocre Serie A teams dominate us, but we still win because we are better than them. Hilario, Ivanovic etc. would still dominate us, and given that it's a CL game in their home, they may even win.

The point is to focus more on us rather than them because in 99% of the time we are the dominated team in any given game.

Oh I agree, I am just saying if you look at those names on paper, you have to be more confident, not considering our past experiences...

Believe it or not, I am confident that we will go through regardless of who they start. I am more worried about our team and who plays.

As much as I rate Eto'o in CL, we will play counterattack (since they HAVE to score) and that's why I agree with those who say Balotelli-Milito should start. The former is quick with good dribbling skills and draws fouls. Milito is as efficient as they come.

Eto'o and Pandev shouldn't play, they are both slower, less efficient and not great dribblers.

I think Pandev can dribble well.
